Toby turned back with a faint smile and pointed behind Tony's seat. "There's a laptop in the bag behind you. You can enjoy it right now."
Tony turned around in the indicated direction and actually found a laptop bag behind the seat.
When he opened it, there really was a laptop inside!
As Tony took the laptop out of the bag, he complained, "How come your car has everything? RPGs, laptops... are you Doraemon or something?"
Smack—
Instead of answering, Toby reached back from the driver's seat and slapped a hand down on the laptop Tony was about to open.
A mischievous grin curled across Tony's lips.
"What, you want me to come up front and watch it with you?"
Toby slowly shook his head and said seriously, "I have no interest in watching something that eye-searing with you. But I need to tell you beforehand: after watching what's on there, if you plan to make a move against anyone in it, you have to hire me to carry it out. Agree, and you can continue."
Tony looked at Toby with disdain. "Pfft, what do you take me for? This kind of stuff is just for watching. Who the hell would want to invite the teachers over to give them a personal lesson? Do I look that desperate?"
"Let me make this clear today: no matter how hot the stars in there are, I, Tony Stark, won't have the slightest reaction!"
Toby shrugged without replying and simply withdrew his hand from the laptop.
Wearing a triumphant smile, Tony opened the laptop and plugged the USB drive into the port. He didn't forget his fellow sufferer, Yinsen, either, pushing the screen toward him. "Yinsen, come on. Sharing joy is better than enjoying it alone. We've both suffered for over two months—let's watch something good and cleanse our eyes!"
"Hiss... We're still in the car. Isn't that... not very appropriate...?"
Though he said that, Yinsen, who looked so proper and serious, still couldn't help sneaking a glance at the screen.
Tony grinned and pointed at the stubborn-but-honest Yinsen with a gesture straight out of Ip Man. Without saying a word, he clicked on the only video in the USB drive.
"Ahhhhhh~~~~~"
The moment it started, it hit them right out of the gate. Before the image even appeared, a moan came from the video.
Holy shit, was it this intense right from the start?
But then Tony frowned, noticing a serious problem!
Wait! Something wasn't right! Why did that sound like a man?
And why did that voice sound so familiar?
Once the image emerged from the black screen, Tony was horrified to discover that the person crying out in the video was actually himself!
And the reason he was screaming was because Yinsen was performing a basic open-chest operation on him!
Without anesthesia!
So he had been screaming in pain!
Tony's forehead veins bulged as he watched, and his chest began to ache faintly again. Gritting his teeth, he looked toward Toby in the driver's seat. "This is the fucking S&M, bondage, and wet-body stuff you were talking about?"
Toby barely held back his laughter. "Yeah. You were getting cut open with a knife—how is that not S&M?"
"I... you... Fine, fine! That counts, I guess. Then what about the bondage and getting wet?" Tony demanded through clenched teeth.
"Don't rush. It's coming right up."
Sure enough, as soon as Toby finished speaking, the video reached the bondage and wet-body segment Tony had "wanted" to see—and the most important part of the entire video.
In the footage, Yinsen was gone. In his place were Tony, tied to a chair, soaked from head to toe and unconscious, along with the despairing bald pilot Toby had killed during takeoff.
The first name the bald leader shouted made Tony's body tremble, his eyes filling with disbelief!
Because the name the bald man shouted was Obadiah Stane!
The second-largest shareholder of Stark Industries, his father's old friend, and the uncle he trusted most within the company!
It was him. He had betrayed him!
"Motherfucker! That bastard! I should've realized that bastard was the one who sold me out! He was in charge of Stark Industries' weapons division—only he could've sold Stark weapons to terrorists behind my back!!"
Tony cursed furiously and punched the laptop, smashing the screen to pieces!
"The laptop cost ten thousand."
Toby calmly added that.
After pulling out the USB drive, Tony threw the entire laptop out the window. Panting heavily, he said, "I'll give you ten million. Shut the fuck up!"
Ten million?
Toby immediately turned into a silent lamb.
But after waiting a while, Tony was the first to lose his patience. "You said earlier that if I watched this video and planned to make a move against anyone in it, I had to hire you, right?"
Toby nodded silently.
Tony's mouth twitched. "You can talk now. Answer me: yes or no!"
Only then did Toby speak. "The customer is king, yes. So, are you going to become my repeat customer?"
This time, Yinsen had not died, and Tony had not fully transformed from an arms dealer into someone with a heart as kind as gold. He nodded resolutely.
"Of course. I want you to make that bastard pay in blood. Name your price!"
Name his price?
That stumped Toby.
After so many years in the business, it seemed he had never actually named his own price before.
Whether Kingpin came to him or he took jobs in the underworld, the price had always been set in advance.
And Kingpin had always paid generously, so naturally, Toby had never had any complaints.
So he truly had never taken the initiative to name a price himself...
After thinking it over, Toby decided to toss the problem back to Tony. "How much do you think your uncle's life is worth?"
Now Tony was stumped.
After all, his uncle was Stark Industries' second-largest shareholder, holding a full 15% of the shares. Combined with Tony's 45%, they formed an absolute controlling stake.
In terms of business value, those 15% of shares were practically impossible to price!
So if he had to put it bluntly, Obadiah Stane was worth 15% of Stark Industries' shares. There was no way to put an exact monetary value on it.
But Tony obviously couldn't actually give Toby those 15% of shares as payment. After all, a hiring fee wasn't calculated based on how much the target was worth.
Tony pondered for a while before deciding, "How about this? I'll give you two options."
"First, I'll pay you five hundred million directly. Considering you saved my life, helping me take out Obadiah Stane for that amount isn't a bad deal, right?"
Toby shrugged. "It's definitely not a bad deal. Killing someone is much easier than saving someone. Five hundred million? I'd be making a huge profit~"
Tony frowned. "So you're choosing the first option?"
But Toby answered decisively, "No. I'm choosing the second."
Tony was somewhat surprised. "I haven't even told you what the second option is. How do you know it'll definitely be better than the first?"
Toby turned back with a smile. "A smart, handsome, ridiculously wealthy guy like you—would your next offer really be lower than the first? That's not how a rich, handsome genius operates..."
"I like hearing that!" Tony narrowed his eyes. "I'm starting to like you a little..."
"That's right. My offers never get lower as I go on. They only get higher!"
"Option two: I'll give you 5% of Stark Industries' shares. But not only do you have to help me kill Obadiah Stane, you also have to agree to two things."
Toby nodded without hesitation. "Fine, I agree."
That left Tony at a loss again.
Seriously, man, weren't you being a little too casual?
It was one thing to choose before even hearing the second option, but now you were agreeing before even hearing the conditions?
Tony asked speechlessly, "Aren't you afraid I'll ask you to do something you wouldn't dare do, or something that would be bad for you?"
Toby replied coolly, "No. As long as the money is right, there's nothing I wouldn't dare do. And something bad for me? Heh. If you dare to bring it up, I'll dare to throw you out of the car right now."
Hearing that answer, Tony was genuinely impressed!
If you couldn't solve the problem, you solved the person who caused it, huh...
Tony covered his face helplessly.
"Fine. Actually, neither of these two things would be bad for you."
"The first is that if I ever face danger like this again, even if no one hires you, you still have to come save me one more time."
"The second is similar, except the person you'd be saving wouldn't be me. If I unfortunately die and Pepper is in danger, you need to save Pepper one more time."
