Background / History

Toby was a truck driver and orphan in his previous life. After a “Great Luck” transmigration incident connected to a murder he committed, he was reborn as the infant son of Ben Parker and May Parker in Earth-99999. 1

Unlike an ordinary child, Toby possessed extraordinary strength, agility, intelligence, wall-crawling, organic webbing, and Spider-Sense from childhood. He later concluded that these powers originated from the mysterious Tricolor Spider that had seemingly killed him in his previous life. 4 16

When Peter Parker’s parents died in a plane crash, Toby chose not to interfere. His powers had not fully awakened, and he feared drawing Osborn Enterprises’ attention while it was researching Super Spiders. Peter subsequently became a permanent member of the Parker household; after eight years together, Toby and Peter regarded one another as brothers. 4

A prodigy who skipped grades and graduated from MIT at eighteen, Toby rejected recruitment from Osborn Enterprises and Stark Industries before joining Fisk Tower. He secretly used his abilities to rob criminals in Hell’s Kitchen, accumulating over a million dollars before Kingpin discovered him. 4 5

Kingpin laundered Toby’s money and established his assassin identity as Poison Spider. Their long-term arrangement made Toby an elite underworld mercenary: he eliminated rival gang targets while Kingpin paid substantial commissions, including ten million dollars for the Neon Gang massacre. 4

Toby is an exceptionally large, muscular man whose build makes concealing his abnormal strength difficult. He is normally around two meters tall and weighs approximately 140 kilograms; Riot can increase his height to three meters in complete form, while a later peak transformation reaches five meters. 4 70 100

Despite this, he often follows his blunt remarks with practical care, such as cooking Gwen a better breakfast. 8

He is ruthless toward enemies and criminals, frequently treating lethal force as a direct solution. His early career as Poison Spider, massacres of hostile gangs, and refusal to negotiate with threats such as Morlun reflect a personal morality built around strength, deterrence, and protecting his own people. 1 139 197

Toby is also highly cautious and strategic when the risk matters. He lets Peter test the Super Spider first rather than risk mutation himself, refuses to recklessly harvest more Spider-Man abilities before understanding the consequences, and uses political influence, blackmail, and alliances as readily as brute force. 9 18 122
