Background

Shisui is Uchiha Mo's younger brother. Danzo initially sought to recruit both brothers into Root, but Hiruzen Sarutobi refused to surrender them. Mo subsequently took responsibility for Shisui's training and protection. 8

Mo chose to let Shisui follow a path centered on taijutsu and swordsmanship after Shisui mastered Uchiha Shurikenjutsu. He also provided him with training materials for Lightning Flash Sword Transformation, Uchiha Style: Flame-Leaping Sword, and Uchiha Style Swordsmanship. 9

Shisui was later watched by an unknown observer during training. Mo concluded that Danzo was responsible and resolved not to let Shisui become Root's tool. 31

Personality

Shisui is affectionate and openly admiring toward Mo, often addressing him as “Big brother” and eagerly pursuing further training. He is curious about unfamiliar things, including ninja cats, and is excited by powerful techniques. 8 11 16

Despite his age, he has a clear dislike of covert manipulation. When Danzo attempted to recruit him, Shisui directly objected to having been surveilled and refused to speak with him. 38
