The Land of Whirlpools

With Izuna escorting them, Uzumaki Mito, Uori, and Nagetsuki hurried toward Uzushio Village.

Besides their abundant chakra and distinctive red hair, the Uzumaki Clan was best known for its Sealing Jutsu. Their Sealing Jutsu stood unrivaled in the Shinobi World: the Four-Symbols Seal, the Eight-Trigrams Seal, the Tail-Locking Seal, and the Kekkei Genkai known as Adamantine Sealing Chains. Kushina and Karin had both demonstrated the technique in the original story, using it to suppress Tailed Beasts. They even had the Dead Demon Consuming Seal, which summoned the God of Death to seal souls.

Unfortunately, the very thing that had made the Uzumaki Clan great had also led to its downfall. In the original story, their Sealing Jutsu had played no small part in their destruction.

After several days of travel, Izuna and the others arrived safely at Uzushio Village.

"Lady Mito! Lady Uori! Lord Izuna! Nagetsuki! You're back!"

As soon as the four reached the village entrance, several members of the Uzumaki Clan gathered around them. After Mito and Uori married into Konoha, they had become role models for the young women of the Uzumaki Clan. One had married the head of the Senju Clan, and the other had married one of the Uchiha Three Heroes—the Hokage's younger brother. Marrying into the two foremost clans in the Shinobi World was the dream of countless girls.

Uori, in particular. Mito was Uzumaki Ashina's biological daughter and a princess of the Uzumaki Clan, but Uori wasn't. After she married Izuna, Uzumaki Ashina adopted her as his daughter and made her an Uzumaki princess as well. After all, the Hokage's surname was Uchiha, and Izuna was his younger brother. He was also one of the Uchiha Three Heroes, a man who stood at the pinnacle of the Shinobi World.
