The Forbidden Forest fully supported Kano's judgment of the Acromantula clan—or rather, their extermination. Such was the power of a Druid: they could commune with nature and mediate the relationship between mankind and the natural world.
Normally, Druids only received gentle suggestions from nature, such as, "Kill more wild boars lately; they have been breeding too much," or, "Catch fewer fish; they are spawning."
But this time, the Forbidden Forest had issued a direct extermination order against the Acromantulas, an invasive species. Although Kano had pushed matters along, it was also the true wrath of nature.
As the judgment ended, the abundant magic power drained from Kano's body and flowed back into the earth.
Kano swayed, and the little unicorn ran over to brace him.
"Didn't I tell you not to come?"
The little unicorn snorted twice and refused to even look at Kano properly.
"Fine, thank you, all right?" Kano helplessly praised the little unicorn a few times, then stuffed two acorns into his mouth.
The little unicorn happily nudged Kano onto his back and prepared to carry him outside.
"Wait." Kano took another acorn from his bag and tossed it onto the ground, watching it sink into the soil. This acorn contained a drop of Kano's blood, allowing him to track its location.
If the Basilisk came out to feed anytime soon, it would surely be drawn to the Acromantula corpses. As long as it swallowed the acorn, Kano would be able to find the passage it used to leave the castle.
Before going in to deal with the Basilisk, Kano wanted to cut off its escape route first.
The little unicorn carried Kano to the centaur settlement, where he tiredly informed the elder that the Acromantula
