The Extreme North consists of the Frost Forest on its outer edge and the deeper Extreme North Icefield, an unending expanse of blizzards, snowfields, and dangerous soul-beast territory. The environment itself is its greatest threat: wind, snow, and extreme cold continually repel outsiders and can freeze metal. 12 26

Snow lotuses are among the region's most significant treasures. A hundred-thousand-year snow lotus drew the Snow Empress's attention because its pure ice-and-snow life force could potentially help her suppress cultivation and transform safely. 18

History

Yan Hongchen first learned of the Extreme North through a dream showing an Icefield, a lightning tribulation, and a snow lotus. After awakening, he retained a detailed map that Jing Hongchen identified as a real chart of the region. 10 11

The Hongchen family entered through the Frost Forest to search for soul rings and investigate the map's marked location. During the expedition, Liu Yueming absorbed the Ice Soul Mystic Hoof Beast's soul ring and core essence, gaining a stronger ice-and-snow foundation. 12 13 16

The expedition reached a snow-lotus site but encountered the Snow Empress. Yan Hongchen traded information on the Ten-Thousand-Year Mysterious Ice Cave for his family's safety, securing an Ice God Oath from her. 18 19 The resulting agreement allowed the family to receive selected soul rings and soul bones before leaving the region. 21 24 27

Yan Hongchen later returned repeatedly through the Snow Empress Token. These visits expanded the relationship from a survival-based bargain into cooperation over soul rings, soul bones, spiritual healing, the Ice God Pearl, and the Soul Spirit method. 49 51 99 119

The Snow Empress Token is an icy-blue token engraved with hexagonal snowflake patterns and the character “Empress.”
