"Don't block the entrance. Let's go in," Rod reminded them, seeing the two girls standing there and obstructing the front door.
"You're right. Gekota, Gekota." Hearing that, Misaka Mikoto put aside her displeasure and immediately started thinking about the Gekota plushie.
Hokaze Junko's eyes lit up when she heard Misaka Mikoto muttering. She had wanted to go up and speak to her, but Shokuhou Misaki dragged her into the dessert shop instead.
The moment she saw Misaka Mikoto looking over, she even made a face at her, making her seem all the more playful and adorable.
Yet in Misaka Mikoto's eyes, it was undoubtedly mockery. Furious, she immediately rushed into the shop.
"Welcome." The waitress greeted the arriving customers with a professional smile, only for the two girls to jostle their way up before her and speak almost in unison.
"One deluxe strawberry parfait!?"
Though the waitress was somewhat bewildered by the sight, she still professionally arranged seats for the two girls.
The two groups sat separately, with only an aisle between them. The waitress handed each of them a menu, gave a brief instruction, and left to place their orders.
"Um, Mr. Rod, was the ability I suddenly awakened a cursed technique?" Saten Ruiko edged closer to Rod and asked.
"Hm? Didn't I tell you? The ability you awakened is a cursed technique." Rod flipped through the menu in his hands and answered casually.
As soon as he said that, the table fell silent. The four girls all stared at Rod in astonishment, their faces clearly saying, You never told us anything like that. Even Rod felt a little embarrassed.
"Sorry. I got busy with other things afterward and forgot to explain it to you, Ruiko."
"N-No, it's fine. Rather, I should be the one thanking you, Mr. Rod.
