Background and History

Jonathan worked at Okmax Laboratories, where Dr. Olivia made him her deputy. He brought a black spider designated #42 from another universe; after it escaped and bit Miles Morales, Miles became Spider-Man 242 256.

Jonathan’s resentment began when Miles and another Spider-Man struck him with a bagel during a break-in at Okmax, making him a joke among his colleagues. Later, an explosion at the Super Particle Collider flooded his body with Spacetime Quantum Energy and changed his appearance. He lost his job and his former life, and his family no longer believed he was Jonathan. He blamed Spider-Man for the explosion and its consequences 242 256.
