Just then, Red-Haired Pirates' vice-captain Benn Beckman pointed at a box on the bar table and said, "Captain, this is bad. The Devil Fruit in the box is gone."

Hearing that, Shanks immediately looked toward the table in the bar.

There was only one box on the table. It had been opened, but what had been inside was gone!

Just as the Red-Haired Pirates were about to search for the item from the box—

Little Luffy slowly walked up to Shanks and said, "Hey! Shanks, are you looking for the fruit that was in the box?"

Shanks immediately hurriedly asked Little Luffy, "Hey, Luffy, did you see a purple fruit with patterns on it in the box on the table?"

After freezing for a second, Little Luffy suddenly realized what he meant and said, "Are you looking for a purple fruit with patterns on it?"

The big fat Lucky Roux stared at Little Luffy and nodded. "Yes. Where is it now?"

Luffy let out an "Oh." "I already ate it, but it tasted really strange."

Shanks immediately flipped Little Luffy upside down, grabbed his feet with both hands, and shook him while shouting anxiously, "Spit it out! Spit it out! You can't eat that!"

Then something strange happened. As Shanks shook him upside down, Little Luffy's legs stretched longer, and his face dropped straight onto the floor.

When Shanks saw Luffy's legs stretch, he plopped down onto the ground, his teeth turning into shark teeth as he said, "Luffy, do you know what you just ate?"

Still not having reacted, Luffy asked, "What was that thing I ate just now?"

Shanks said furiously, "That was a Devil Fruit! Once you eat it, you won't be able to swim anymore."

Luffy replied as if it were no big deal, "Then I just won't swim anymore."

And so, Luffy ultimately ate that Devil Fruit that would belong to him alone for the rest of his life.

At that moment, Ye Feng said to his younger sister Avril, who was hiding behind the bar, "Little sister, let's go." Hearing Ye Feng call her, Avril immediately ran out in two steps and headed for the bar's entrance.

At that moment, everyone clearly saw what Ye Feng's younger sister looked like. There was only one thought in everyone's minds: She was too beautiful! But when they remembered that his sister was also an intermediate Sword King, they gave up the thought of going over to her. Just as Avril was about to run out of the bar, Little Luffy stepped forward to stop her and said blankly, "You're so pretty! What's your name? My name is Monkey D. Luffy."

Avril looked at the silly boy in front of her and smiled. "My name is Avril." Then she immediately ran out and followed Ye Feng toward the mountain.

As she caught up, Avril looked at her brother Ye Feng in confusion and asked, "Brother, who were those people just now? Why didn't we capture them?"

Ye Feng walked up the mountain absentmindedly as he replied, "They're the Red-Haired Pirates, one of the Four Emperors. We can't beat them yet." But at that moment, Ye Feng wondered whether his intervention this time would prevent Shanks from having an arm bitten off by the Lord of the Coast while saving Luffy, and from giving Luffy the symbolic hat and telling him to return it after he went out to sea.

While Ye Feng was troubled by these matters, Avril, standing beside him, said, "Brother, weren't we going to join the Marines? Why did we come here?"

Ye Feng answered, "It's not time yet. We need to wait for someone."

Because Ye Feng sensed that something was calling to him, he headed up the mountain.

However, not long after Ye Feng left the bar, another large group of people entered. Every one of them carried a blade. One of them stood on a table in the bar and shouted, "Which bastard killed my brother? Step forward right now!"

And so, the events that were supposed to happen happened again! Just like in the original story, they learned that he was a child—and a Devil Fruit user at that.

Since Devil Fruit users feared seawater the most, they took Luffy out to sea and made the bar owner Makino tell the person who had killed his brother Gram to come quickly. Otherwise, he would throw Luffy into the sea to feed the fish.

After hearing that, Makino immediately went out to look for Ye Feng and Avril. But how could she possibly find Ye Feng and Avril, who were heading up the mountain at that moment? As she was about to call Luffy's grandfather Garp, she saw the Red-Haired Pirates preparing to set sail. She ran over and told Shanks.

She told him that Luffy had been captured and that they demanded the murderer of his brother Gram, Ye Feng, be handed over. But they did not know where Ye Feng was, so Shanks led his pirate crew to rescue Luffy.
