A razor-sharp sword aura cleaved Gral, captain of the Hungry Wolf Pirates, in two.
After killing him, Ye Feng looked at Gral's body, split into two halves. He thought, Although I never intended to kill anyone, this was a world where people devoured one another.
Since he had transmigrated here, all he could do was... "Take things as they come."
Ye Feng then walked over, took out a bag from behind his back, severed Gral's head with his sword, and stuffed it into the bag.
He then turned to Avril, who had just finished clearing out the small fry, and said, "Let's go. We'll collect the bounty, then go have a feast."
Later, outside a Marine base on Mosanke Island in the South Blue.
Ye Feng said to Avril, "Wait here for me. I'll go inside and collect the bounty. Once I'm out, we'll go have a feast."
Ye Feng picked up the bag and headed into the Marine base. Once inside, he discovered that there were so many different offices handling business. Although he had seen Marine bases in One Piece in his previous life, none of them had been this large.
Ye Feng was dazzled by the sight when a little girl around his age, wearing a short skirt, walked up to him and asked, "Hey, little brother, are you lost?"
Ye Feng looked at the little girl, who was about the same age as him and undeniably a loli, and thought, As expected of One Piece—there are so many beauties! However, he still noticed that "little brother." Just imagine a kid around your own age calling you a little kid.
When Ye Feng heard that, a bright smile appeared on his face as he said softly, "You're about the same age as me, yet you're calling me a little kid. Aren't you embarrassed?"
The little girl snorted. "I'm calling you a little kid. What are you going to do about it? Let me tell you, my father is Vice Admiral Verne of Marine Headquarters. Little brother, are you scared now?"
Seeing her haughty expression, Ye Feng darkened his face, walked over, picked her up, slung her over his shoulder, and headed toward the nearby rest area.
Miranda, dangling from his shoulder, flailed excitedly and pounded Ye Feng's back with both hands. "Hey! Hey! What are you doing? Put me down right now! I'm telling you, I'm Miranda! I'm the boss around here! Put me down!" The force of Miranda's punches was not even enough to scratch Ye Feng's itch, but he could not stand her squirming around on him.
So Ye Feng smacked Miranda's little butt and said, "Move again, and I'll hit you again." After that one slap, Miranda immediately behaved herself. Hmph, this trick never fails. Like I can't handle a little brat like you.
He then ignored the stunned Marines nearby.
In the eyes of those Marines, Miranda was a little demon! Yet now, they were seeing that little demon being carried over the shoulder of a boy around her age, Ye Feng, toward the rest area. They could hardly believe their eyes.
Ye Feng remained perfectly calm as he carried Miranda to the seats beside the rest area. Once there, he casually picked a chair and sat down, then placed the haughty Miranda on his lap. Through her short skirt, he gave her three slaps—smack! smack! smack!—and said, "That's for calling me little brother, for acting all high and mighty, and for showing off."
Afterward, two or three minutes passed before he said, "Hey, how much longer are you planning to lie on my lap?"
Miranda had been stunned silly by the first slap. She lay sprawled across Ye Feng's lap, completely at a loss over what to do. It was only when Ye Feng asked, "How much longer are you planning to lie on my lap?" that she came to her senses.
She sprang off Ye Feng's lap, her face red enough to bleed, and pointed at him as she shouted agitatedly, "You! You! You actually hit my butt! I-I'm going to fight you!" With that, she bared her teeth and claws and charged at Ye Feng.
Suddenly, a voice rang out. "Miranda, what are you doing?"
Everyone, including Ye Feng, turned toward the source of the voice.
A tall man emerged from the crowd. His hair was completely silver, and he carried an imposing presence even without showing anger. A long, narrow scar ran across his face from his left ear to his lips. He had received it years ago while following Vice Admiral Garp in pursuit of Roger, when Rayleigh had injured him.
The Marines nearby saluted and said, "Greetings, Vice Admiral!"
The messenger from before must have reported what happened here to Vice Admiral Verne.
Vice Admiral Verne nodded and said, "All right, it's nothing. Everyone, disperse." Then he turned to Miranda and asked, "Why did you run away from home again?"
Miranda trotted over and threw herself into Vice Admiral Verne's arms. Puffing out her cheeks, she pointed at Ye Feng and shouted, "Dad, it was him! He hit me just now! Hurry up and teach him a lesson for me!"
Vice Admiral Verne rubbed Miranda's head with his large, rough hand and asked skeptically, "Oh, is that so? Wasn't it you who went looking for trouble with him first?"
