The Spendthrift and His Sister

Avril immediately said with a disapproving look, "No, I want to go too."

When Ye Feng heard that, he said reluctantly, "I want you to come with me too, but it's too dangerous there."

Avril immediately threw herself into Ye Feng's arms and hugged him. "I'll be fine. I'm not afraid. I don't care—I'm going no matter what."

Ye Feng's face showed both helplessness and seriousness as he said, "This trip is really dangerous, so I can't take you with me."

Seeing her brother Ye Feng's serious expression, Avril said, "Then if I join the Marines, will you come too?"

Seeing that his little sister had agreed, Ye Feng nodded happily and replied, "Of course! My adorable little sister is in the Marines. How could I not come?"

Then he reached out and hugged Avril. "Before that, though, we need to set sail and go somewhere."

Avril asked, "Brother, where are we going?"

Ye Feng looked eastward and answered, "Windmill Village in the East Blue." That was right! This time, Ye Feng planned to visit the hometown of "Marine Hero Iron Fist Garp," to see Monkey D. Luffy, the "child of destiny" and future Pirate King.

Then Ye Feng said to Avril, "Come on. Before we head to the East Blue, let's go see how our big ship is coming along."

Later, inside a shipbuilding company on Mozambique Island, Ye Feng handed the money pouch in his hand to the manager and asked, "Here, this is the final payment—ten million Beli. When will our ship be finished?"

The shipbuilding company manager accepted the final ten million Beli Ye Feng had handed over. Without counting to confirm whether there really was ten million Beli inside, he said, "Esteemed customer, the ship you ordered will be completed in two days."

Although the manager did not count the money in front of Ye Feng and Avril to see whether it truly contained the supposed ten million Beli, he still weighed the pouch in his hand while Ye Feng was distracted, confirming its weight.

Hearing that he could collect the ship in two days, Ye Feng nodded. "Alright, I'll come pick it up in two days. But can you help put the ship into the sea for me? Money isn't an issue."

The shipbuilding manager smiled and nodded at once. "No problem, no problem."

Ye Feng turned to his sister Avril and said, "Let's go. We'll buy a map first, then get some food."

Ye Feng then took Avril's hand and headed toward the shopping district.

On the bustling streets, the two held hands and wandered around for over half an hour. At last, they finished buying everything they needed.

The next morning, after Ye Feng and Avril got up at the inn and washed up, they began packing their luggage.

Half an hour later, they finally finished packing the enormous pile of luggage.

However, of the mountain-like pile of baggage, Ye Feng's belongings, the ship's supplies, and food accounted for only four-tenths. All the rest belonged to that little girl, Avril.

The sight made Ye Feng tremble in fear. Oh my god! She's still so young, yet she already has Nami's potential. What will happen when she grows up?

Ye Feng hurriedly looked at Avril and said, "My dear sister, did you spend all our money on clothes?"

Looking guilty, Avril waved her little hand. "How could that be? I still have lots of money left."

Ye Feng glanced at the flat little pouch Avril usually kept her money in and asked skeptically, "Then take out the money and let me see it."

Avril instinctively covered the little pocket on her clothes, too nervous to know what to say.

Seeing the cold sweat on Avril's forehead, Ye Feng sighed as if he had long grown used to it. "Sigh... Tell me, then. How many Beli do you have left this time?"

Avril grew even more nervous. Not quite daring to look at Ye Feng, she stammered, "T-There... there are three left."

Ye Feng looked at Avril in shock, hardly able to believe it. "What did you say? Say that again. How much is left?"

This time Avril said nothing. She merely timidly held up three little fingers.

Seeing the three little fingers she had raised, Ye Feng felt even more devastated. If Nami is a money-grubber, then my little sister Avril is a spending maniac.

Only one day had passed since yesterday, and she had spent thirty-five million Beli until only three remained.

Ye Feng looked at Avril again and asked, "What did you even buy?"

Avril held up a finger and began counting. "I only bought some clothes, bags, and cosmetics. I also had our swords maintained, bought you two sets of clothes, and then that was it."

Ye Feng looked at Avril helplessly. "Forget it. Let's go be pirate hunters again. Once we're at sea, we'll see if there are any pirates foolish enough to cross our path."

However, Ye Feng looked at the mountain of luggage and said, "Let's go. We'll find someone to carry this away in a while."

After saying that, he headed toward the shore. Seeing that Ye Feng was no longer holding the matter against her, Avril stuck out her little tongue and followed after him.
