The forest serves as one of the story’s main spirit ring hunting grounds. Tang Chuan repeatedly brings Tang San and others there to obtain soul rings, locate Blue Silver Grass-related sites, and search for life-attribute or plant-type soul beasts 4 6 17 18 43 45 55.

The forest is vast, ancient, and dense, with towering trees that block out much of the sky 6. Its atmosphere is marked by soil, decaying leaves, thick undergrowth, and heavy vegetation 6.

Blue Silver Ancestral Land

The Blue Silver Ancestral Land is located deep within the Star Dou Great Forest and is described as a place of pilgrimage for all Blue Silver Grass 17 43. Tang San is able to sense it through his Blue Silver King bloodline after Tang Chuan instructs him to follow the same instinctive method he used to find Ah Yin 45.

Role in Tang San’s Awakening

The Blue Silver King recognizes Tang San as an emperor and prepares to bless him 45. During the awakening, the Blue Silver Grass contributes its own energy and life to Tang San’s imperial bloodline, while Tang San’s emerging Blue Silver Domain nourishes the colony in return 45 46.

Tang San completes his third soul ring awakening there, obtaining an eight-thousand-year third soul ring and the soul skill Blue Silver Phantom Body 46.

Relocation

After Tang San’s awakening, Tang Chuan offers the Blue Silver King and the Blue Silver Grass a more suitable place to develop 46. The Blue Silver King agrees, and the colony reduces itself into motes of light that enter Tang San’s Wishful Hundred Treasure Pouch 46. Tang Chuan later transplants the Blue Silver Grass to the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well in Sunset Forest, where they can guard the herb garden and allow him to sense the location at any time 48.

First Spirit Ring Hunt

Tang Chuan plans to take Tang San to the Star Dou Great Forest after explaining spirit masters, soul beasts, and spirit ring absorption limits 4. They travel from Nuoding Academy by carriage and enter the forest without resting 5 6.

Inside, Tang Chuan uses his Blue Silver Domain to perceive the surroundings and guide Tang San 6. He kills a three-thousand-year Blazing Fire Lion blocking their path, then leads Tang San to a six-hundred-year Star Seed Grass near a lake 6. Tang San later reveals his first soul skill, Proliferating Seed Scatter, influenced by the Star Seed Grass 7.

Second Spirit Ring Hunt

After Tang San reaches level twenty, Tang Chuan brings him back to the Star Dou Great Forest for his second soul ring 17. Tang Chuan explains that Tang San should continue along the life path to strengthen his constitution and help his Blue Silver Grass evolve more smoothly 17.

Using Forest of Myriad Phenomena, Tang Chuan locates a three-thousand-year Thousand-Pattern Verdant Essence Ancient Cattail in a life-rich wetland 18. Tang Chuan uproots it with his Eight Spider Lances, and Tang San absorbs its thousand-year soul ring 18.

Encounter with the Shui Sisters

While leaving the forest, Tang Chuan senses two approaching figures through Forest of Myriad Phenomena 19. Tang Chuan and Tang San then encounter Shui Bing’er and Shui Yue’er, who had entered the forest to obtain Shui Yue’er’s second soul ring because the Far North was too distant and dangerous for that purpose 20.

The sisters had been attacked by a Fallen One, and their steward later dies from his injuries 20. Tang Chuan and Tang San accompany the sisters out of the forest before parting ways at the exit 20.

Journey to the Blue Silver Ancestral Land

Tang Chuan, Tang San, and Xiao Wu later return to the Star Dou Great Forest to find the Blue Silver Ancestral Land and complete Tang San’s Blue Silver Grass awakening 43 45. Xiao Wu becomes anxious because the forest is her former home and she fears being recognized by her companions there 43.

Tang San senses the Ancestral Land through his bloodline, and the surrounding Blue Silver Grass guides the group through paths that avoid soul beasts 45. At the hidden grove, the Blue Silver King recognizes Tang San and reacts with shock to Tang Chuan’s separate Blue Silver Emperor aura 45. Tang San completes his awakening and obtains his third soul ring 46.

Later Expedition for Ye Lingling

Tang Chuan later sets out for the Star Dou Great Forest with Tang San and Ye Lingling to seek Ye Lingling’s fourth soul ring 55. Tang Chuan considers healing-type soul beasts such as the Emerald Swan but notes that such a clan may live in the core region, making it unnecessary to invite danger for a fourth ring 55.
