Minato Namikaze took away the injured Genin and the terrified brats.

Only Chiyu, Kushina Uzumaki, Jiraiya, and Tsunade remained.

Kushina Uzumaki looked at Jiraiya and Tsunade with wariness and distrust.

To Kushina Uzumaki, anyone Chiyu was hostile toward, or anyone hostile toward Chiyu, was no good person.

Jiraiya did not care about that.

But Tsunade had a bit of a headache.

Kushina Uzumaki was a clanswoman of her grandmother, Mito Uzumaki. Now that she had come to Konoha, she could be said to be Mito Uzumaki's only remaining kin.

Tsunade also had Uzumaki Clan blood in her veins, so Kushina Uzumaki could be considered her clanswoman as well.

What was more, Tsunade knew very well why Kushina Uzumaki had come to Konoha.

No amount of protection for Kushina Uzumaki would have been excessive, yet that Genin brat had actually thrown a real Kunai at her!

Though Tsunade was furious at the Genin brat from earlier, she still had to intervene. After all, he was from Konoha.

And there was Chiyu in front of her.

Tsunade knew a little about Chiyu as well. What had happened back then had caused quite a stir.

Mito Uzumaki had complained to Tsunade about it too.

Chiyu, who possessed half the bloodline of the Senju Clan and half that of the Uchiha Clan, had not been acknowledged by the Uchiha Clan. He had become a sacrifice of the Uchiha Clan, hated by all the villagers of Konoha.

What surprised Tsunade was how close Chiyu and Kushina Uzumaki were.

Chiyu had been willing to cripple those two brats' limbs for Kushina Uzumaki.

Had Kushina Uzumaki not only just arrived in Konoha? Could the two have known each other long ago?

As Tsunade pondered, she happened to glimpse the blood left on the ground.

Tsunade's pupils contracted, and her entire body began to tremble slightly.

Her hemophobia had flared up.

Jiraiya noticed something was wrong with Tsunade and immediately stepped in front of her, blocking her view.

Jiraiya said to Tsunade, "I'll take these two brats to see the old man. Tsunade, you should go rest."

Tsunade took several deep breaths, forcibly calming her racing heartbeat caused by her hemophobia.

"It's fine. I'll go see the old man with you."

Now that Tsunade knew the identities of Kushina Uzumaki and Chiyu, she decided to go see Hiruzen Sarutobi with them.

If Chiyu had not intended to chop off those two brats' limbs, this would not have been much of an issue.

But Chiyu had intended to chop off their limbs. If Hiruzen Sarutobi learned of it, Chiyu would very likely be punished.

Seeing Tsunade insist, Jiraiya said nothing more. Turning to Chiyu and Kushina Uzumaki, he said, "Come on. Come see the old man with us."

Chiyu suddenly said, "This has nothing to do with Kushina. I'll go with you alone."

Before Jiraiya could speak, Kushina Uzumaki anxiously said, "No, Chiyu! I'm going with you!"

Kushina Uzumaki grabbed Chiyu's hand. After shooting Jiraiya and Tsunade a wary glance, she said, "I'm afraid someone will spout nonsense in front of Lord Hokage. This obviously wasn't Chiyu's fault, so I have to explain it clearly to Lord Hokage..."

Chiyu sighed softly. If Hiruzen Sarutobi wanted to punish him, no amount of explanation from Kushina Uzumaki would help.

Still, Chiyu was not worried that Hiruzen Sarutobi would hand down any punishment.

As long as Chiyu could demonstrate his value, the punishment would not be too severe. Afterward, things would continue as they had before.

Kushina Uzumaki wanted to say more, but when she looked at Chiyu's eyes, she exclaimed in surprise, "Chiyu, what happened to your eyes?!"

"My eyes?"

Not understanding, Chiyu picked up the broken blade from the ground and used its surface to see what his eyes looked like.

Chiyu was somewhat surprised. He had actually awakened the Two-Tomoe Sharingan.

After Tsunade had blasted away his broken blade, Chiyu knew it was over and that he had no more chances. He relaxed his body and stopped gathering Chakra.

But then his eyes stung, and he reflexively shut them.

When he opened them again, Chiyu felt that his vision had become clearer. Everything he looked at also seemed to be moving a little more slowly.

Jiraiya and Tsunade's sudden arrival had put Chiyu on edge, so the thought of the Sharingan had not occurred to him right away.

Chiyu had not expected to awaken the Sharingan by accident this time.

The earliest recorded awakening in the Uchiha Clan was Sasuke Uchiha. At seven, he witnessed Itachi Uchiha slaughter the clan and awakened the One-Tomoe Sharingan after suffering a powerful mental shock, though he had not noticed it himself at the time.

At eight, Itachi Uchiha awakened the Sharingan in rage after his companion was killed by Obito Uchiha.

Shisui Uchiha had probably awakened his at around the same age as Itachi Uchiha.

At twelve, Obito Uchiha directly awakened the Two-Eyed Two-Tomoe Sharingan in a fit of rage.

Madara Uchiha had only awakened the Sharingan at fifteen.

Sasuke, Itachi, Shisui, and Obito had not yet been born, so Chiyu might currently be the earliest person in the Uchiha Clan to awaken the Sharingan.

Of course, it was also possible that someone in the Uchiha Clan had awakened it even earlier but had not revealed it.

Still, awakening it at nine already placed him among the earliest to do so.

Now Chiyu was even less worried about meeting Hiruzen Sarutobi later.

Having awakened the Sharingan, his value had become even greater.
