The void was not truly empty. It was merely so vast that it appeared to contain nothing. In Bal's words, the void was like air—boundless and endless—while the worlds scattered within it were like faint particles suspended in the air, utterly inconspicuous. Sometimes, one could see a world, yet might have to fly for a very long time before seeing another.
Bal had been fortunate back then. Not long after emerging and traveling through the void, he had encountered Elfa World. Otherwise, he would have died in the void long ago, assimilated into nothingness by it.
The void was a wondrous place. It was the beginning of all things, and also the end of all things. It could give birth to miraculous places like worlds, and it could also make worlds vanish one after another.
More terrifyingly, it could even produce such strange species as void creatures. No one knew whether what void creatures devoured were real worlds one after another, or newly born little worlds. If they were real worlds, then just how powerful were void creatures? That was an entire real world.
Dole did not know how vast Elfa World was. Even now, he had only been to the North Pole and did not know how far away the South Pole was. And beyond the land beneath his feet, there were also the stars of the universe overhead. The thought that void creatures could swallow all of that in a single gulp struck him as unbelievable.
The void truly was a miraculous place.
Moreover, during this visit, Dole had learned something new: Vasili wanted to reach level nine, and he intended to follow the void path to level nine, hoping to enter that realm through spatial abilities. He seemed to be developing toward creating spatial witchcraft himself.
