After taking it and giving it a glance, Elreya said in surprise, "Is the Body-Cleansing Fruit really that good? This is an eighth-level Lava Shield."
Dole lowered his head and met Elreya's beautiful, seemingly speaking eyes. Somewhat irritably, he said, "You're a genius. Your talent and physique are both outstanding, so you don't need such things. But there will always be people who aren't so outstanding."
"Anything that improves one's physique and talent has always cost a fortune in the Wizard world. Otherwise, when we went to the Maze World last time, those people wouldn't have fought desperately to get into the top three and obtain the Vitality-Replenishing Potion."
Elreya gave an oh, seemingly still unconcerned. She shot Dole a puzzled look. "Why don't you need it?"
She reached out and felt Dole's hand. Her powerful blood-force tried to seep into his body to inspect it, but clearly, the instant it touched his skin, it was like striking a stone wall. It hit an obstacle and could not enter at all.
She said crossly, "Drop your defenses. I want to see your talent."
"It's not that I won't let you see. Even if I drop my defenses, you still won't be able to."
Elreya felt awkward. She had always been the one mocking others for being too weak. Now it was her turn to be mocked for her lack of strength.
She touched Dole's body, feeling his firm muscles. Her face suddenly flushed as she recalled the day Dole had controlled the bodies of her and her sister with his spiritual power. "That day, when you controlled our bodies, didn't you feel anything?"
Dole's face reddened slightly. "I was only thinking about finishing the refinement of the Wizard Tower. I didn't think much of anything else."
