The Dole of today was no longer the Dole of before.
Just then, a message reached Dole's ears: Molly seemed to have arrived in Albis City with her husband.
Dole pondered for a moment.
He had feelings for Molly. After all, she was the first young Wizard he had met. They had known each other since childhood, and that hidden underground trade had made him who he was today. Their bond was also exceedingly pure.
Back then, Dole had owed his current achievements to Molly as well. So after rising to prominence, he had never abandoned this friendship, asking after her from time to time, even though Molly did not appear to need his help.
Molly's life had actually been rather ordinary. She could only be considered dependent on the Marcia Family, and they did not value her much. Yet she had always been unable to leave the Marcia Family, after all, she was now the mother of a child.
The Marcia Family was also renowned in the Wizarding world for potions. Unfortunately, Dole had snatched away quite a bit of their business, and that was the real key to the friction between the two sides.
For a time, Molly had been living quite poorly. But after Dole began to rise—especially after he became city lord—her days had gradually improved as well.
No one would be willing to offend a city lord for no reason.
As Dole thought of this, he wondered whether he should go see Molly. Give her some aid, perhaps. Anything that slipped through the cracks of his fingers now would be enough for Molly to live in style for years.
Glaite had taken several people to the front lines. He truly had no friends around him now, and
