Background / History

Changfeng was an elder of the Purple Sky Sacred Land and the junior brother of True Person Daoxuan. When Qin Huaian's name rose to the top of the Nine Tribulations Immortal Inquiry Tower, Daoxuan ordered Changfeng to recruit him for the sect. Changfeng was initially indifferent, but complied at his senior brother's urging. 401

He approached Qin Huaian in Immortal Inquiry City and explained the immortal realms, as well as the advantages and obligations of sect membership. Though casual in manner, he respected Qin Huaian's reservations about being burdened by sect missions. 404 405

Changfeng recognized Qin Huaian's extraordinary potential after learning that he had comprehended the Law of Space at the Mahayana Realm. He persuaded Daoxuan to accept Qin Huaian as their master Canghan's disciple, making Qin Huaian Changfeng's junior brother. 406
