Ancient records also describe a vortex passage above the eastern sea of Violet Thorn Continent that led to a more powerful, mysterious continent. The passage vanished in remote antiquity, though its loss was not initially considered consequential to the Great World. 851 910

Devil Race Incursion and the Seal

A spatial passage once exposed the Great World to the Devil Race. The first known Devil Race force contained roughly twenty cultivators, each at least at the late Zenith Heaven Golden Immortal stage; they inflicted severe losses on Violet Thorn Great World cultivators despite being outnumbered. 853

The Violet Thorn Sacred Land ultimately exterminated the Devil Race forces encountered beyond the passage, but its leaders believed stronger invaders could follow.
