"Could it have been Fuxi, one of the Three Sovereigns of the human race, who secretly stole the Kongtong Seal?"

For a moment, the Supreme Purity Sage immediately thought of the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors of the human race.

Fuxi, the Heavenly Sovereign; Shennong, the Earthly Sovereign; Xuanyuan, the Human Sovereign; and the five Emperors—the eight of them—asked in confusion.

Fuxi said gravely, "Supreme Purity Sage, what do I need to explain to you?"

The Supreme Purity Sage said coldly, "Hmph, Fuxi, explain what? You know perfectly well."

Fuxi said, "Supreme Purity Sage, I do not know what riddles you are speaking in."

The Supreme Purity Sage said with a furious expression, "Fuxi, I advise you to hand over the Kongtong Seal."

"Otherwise, during the Investiture of the Gods Tribulation, I will not care whether your human race lives or dies."

Fuxi said gravely, "Supreme Purity Sage, why should I swear a Heavenly Dao oath?"

The Supreme Purity Sage sneered. "Heh, heh, Fuxi, I hope you will not regret this!"

Inside the hall, Yuanshi Tianzun, seated upon his bed in the void, revealed a surprised expression.

Yuanshi Tianzun's figure vanished directly from the cloud bed.

Outside the hall, just as the Supreme Purity Sage was about to enter, space rippled, and Yuanshi Tianzun appeared before him out of thin air.

Seeing the Supreme Purity Sage's expression, Yuanshi Tianzun asked somewhat puzzledly,

"Senior Brother, what happened?"

The Supreme Purity Sage said, "Junior Brother, the Kongtong Seal, the human race's destiny and merit treasure, has been lost from my possession."

After hearing this, Yuanshi Tianzun pondered for a moment.

Yuanshi Tianzun said, "Senior Brother, with the Investiture of the Gods Tribulation imminent, should we report this matter to the Dao Ancestor?"

The Supreme Purity Sage said, "We certainly must inform the Dao Ancestor."

"Disciple Supreme Purity, disciple Yuanshi, request an audience with the Dao Ancestor on urgent business!"

"Supreme Purity, Yuanshi, what matter brings you to seek an audience with me???"

The Supreme Purity Sage hurriedly said respectfully, "Dao Ancestor, it concerns the Kongtong Seal, the human race's destiny and merit treasure."

After the Supreme Purity Sage finished speaking, the gates of the Purple Firmament Palace suddenly opened.

"If that is so, Supreme Purity and Yuanshi, enter!"

The Supreme Purity Sage and Yuanshi Tianzun respectfully replied, "Yes, Dao Ancestor!"

After saying that, the Supreme Purity Sage and Yuanshi Tianzun entered the Purple Firmament Palace.

Deep within the Purple Firmament Palace, Hongjun sat cross-legged in the void with his eyes closed, resting his mind.

At this time, the Supreme Purity Sage and Yuanshi Tianzun arrived before Hongjun.

The Supreme Purity Sage and Yuanshi Tianzun bowed respectfully to Hongjun.

"Disciples greet the Dao Ancestor!"

Hongjun said, "Rise."

"Supreme Purity, tell me exactly what happened to the Kongtong Seal, the human race's destiny and merit treasure."

The Supreme Purity Sage said, "Dao Ancestor, this is what happened..."

The Supreme Purity Sage then carefully recounted to Hongjun how the Kongtong Seal, the human race's destiny and merit treasure, had vanished into thin air.

After hearing this, Hongjun revealed a surprised expression.

Hongjun said indifferently, "Supreme Purity, the Investiture of the Gods Tribulation has now begun."

"The Heavenly Dao is in chaos. Even when I deduced it just now, all I found was a haze."

The Supreme Purity Sage said in shock, "What? Even you, Dao Ancestor, cannot deduce any information?"

Hongjun nodded. "That is correct!"

The Supreme Purity Sage and Yuanshi Tianzun respectfully replied, "Yes, Dao Ancestor!"

Hongjun said, "Supreme Purity, Yuanshi, you may leave."

The Supreme Purity Sage and Yuanshi Tianzun bowed respectfully. "Yes, Dao Ancestor. These disciples take their leave!"

After saying that, the Supreme Purity Sage and Yuanshi Tianzun left the Purple Firmament Palace.
