Background / History

While searching the deepest reaches of Star Dou Forest for her husband, who had been missing for years, A Rou was ambushed by a hundred-thousand-year Dark Devilgod Tiger. The Soft-Boned Rabbit clan was not known for combat strength, and her recent human transformation had weakened her; she escaped, but suffered a poisoned chest wound and spent three days fleeing toward her territory. Unable to endure the poison any longer, she collapsed while trying to return to Xiao Wu. 2

The Dark Evil Tiger caught up with her, but Tang Ling appeared before it could kill her. He purged the poison, healed her wound, and restored her depleted soul power with azure life energy. When the tiger attacked, Tang Ling grievously wounded it with a casual palm strike and drove it away with a glance. A Rou vowed to repay him at any cost, though Tang Ling initially refused her offer. 3

Tang Ling escorted her home, where she reunited with Xiao Wu. After learning Xiao Wu's original fate—including her future sacrifice for Tang San—A Rou supported her daughter's determination to reject it. Tang Ling left Xiao Wu a jade talisman to summon him during a future calamity. 4 5
