Countless demons poured down like a black waterfall from the sky-and they truly were plummeting from above. Even from far away, their madness was palpable. Every nerve in their bodies seemed to throb violently as they reveled in the frenzy of invading a plane and unleashing slaughter. They fell through the rift overhead, trampling and shoving one another. In the blink of an eye, crippled demons and corpses piled into a steep slope beneath it. More demons tumbled and staggered down that incline of severed limbs, charging like a black-and-red river bursting its banks.
The skeletal arm still thrashed from side to side, venting the fury from beyond the rift, while the pale demon lord was blasting apart the last remaining eye on its palm.
