Although Mahama had no idea what Ruger was thinking, he saw that Ruger was considering something and stood quietly to one side, waiting. Every so often, he glanced toward the red-skinned Wizard.
Ruger cast him a glance. Perhaps the fellow held no grudge at all. He had simply just advanced and finished fixing his One-Ring spell in place, and now that he saw someone he could call an enemy, he was itching to give it a try.
Still, Ruger had no idea how much control Mahama had over his own body. Ruger knew that without the rabbit in his hands, he would struggle to withstand the red-skinned Wizard's spell. In theory, Mahama's control over his own flesh should far exceed his, but however much better it was, it could not compare to having a rabbit in hand.
