For some reason, Ruger grew even more eager. Although he was looking forward to it, could sense the Little Fairy's confidence, and had witnessed how outstanding his first meditation had been, Ruger had still taken a small precaution: the little gift he had given in advance to congratulate him on becoming a Level-One Wizard Apprentice, an Inheritance Scroll of Arcane Imprint.
Although it was strange for a Wizard Apprentice to fix the zero-ring spell Arcane Imprint in place, it could at least stabilize his mental power space and save his life. This was a stubborn Little Fairy. He might look tearful and weepy, but he was actually very difficult to persuade. The gift was just right. Arcane Imprint's spell model had few nodes, so as long as he opened the scroll in a crisis, he could quickly finish constructing the spell model with the Inheritance Scroll's guidance.
The Little Fairy readily agreed to Ruger's suggestion of three days.
It had given him direction when he was lost.
Humming a tuneless little tune, Ruger left the Inn and went over to Aisijin's place. Tuzel was leading two kobolds as they worked, with Big Silly Hum doing the heavy lifting. Aisijin's head swayed and nodded. She looked as though she was about to enter her sleepy period and was forcing herself to stay awake. Ruger did not try to persuade her to rest. Instead, he rolled up his sleeves and joined them, handling some of the key magic plants.
These "key" plants fell into two categories: those he thought he would probably need, and those that were relatively fragile.
Of course, even the esteemed Wizard Ruger had to accept Rabbit's instructions here. Rabbit had already planned out the different areas.
