In his vision for the future, spirit furs, cultivation knowledge, spells, and everything else were all interconnected, forming a single whole with his own abilities and unique qualities. To put it plainly, the moment he advanced to a Formal Wizard, he had become a one-of-a-kind Dragonborn Kobold capable of manipulating his own spiritual fur. Such was the power of the Ascension Ritual. He was no longer an ordinary Kobold.
When he drank tea with Mahama and Kurt, they had also discussed spell sequences, though it was mostly Mahama talking while he and Kurt listened.
Naturally, part of the reason these topics came up was Benson Gothney, the Gluttony Wizard known as the strongest. Kurt had the most entertaining reaction. Having never set foot on Cyclops Island, he was understandably lost at first, but that did not last long. Soon, the little island's lord was reeling from one shock after another.
At the time, one question had kept nagging at Ruger: did anyone use spells like the Fireball Spell, which needed time to take shape, to build a spell sequence? As Mahama put it, the Underground Caverns were vast enough to contain every conceivable marvel, so someone was bound to do something extraordinary, perhaps eliminating the process of forming the fireball altogether. But he had only actually heard of one approach: once someone chose such a spell, they could only build their spell sequence around that spell requiring time to take shape. That was the only approach that could just barely be considered normal.
Of course, most Sequence Wizards excluded spells that needed time to take shape when planning their spell sequences.
