Everything at that moment seemed to suggest as much. The Vango Family had already been in decline for nearly a century, and now it had suffered another upheaval. Its losses could not easily be recovered; one-ring and two-ring wizards were important and precious to the family, too. Although it could not immediately return to its former state, with a four-ring wizard present, its good neighbor with whom it shared such a deep friendship-the Savens Family-no longer had any reason to act rashly.
Moreover, this was not a fourth-ring wizard raised within the family, but one who had made his way alone in the outside world. That meant not only unquestionable strength, but also unknown capabilities.
Conversely, some information could be gathered about the Savens Family's four-ring wizard, who had been around for many years.
Ruger felt that he could probably return to the Library.
