As Ruger was lost in thought, a towering figure landed with a thud. A large hand moved aside the chair beside the little round table, and the figure sat directly on the ground.

Ruger knew the fellow was still holding back. Otherwise, he could have smashed a crater into the ground.

"I'm leaving," Big Guy said in a low voice.

The small teacup looked even tinier in his hand. Once Big Guy settled himself, he began drinking straight from the cup Zorn had just used.

"A Free Demon Hunter?" Ruger asked.

"I came to the Endless Sea to think about my path while gathering the resources to advance to a Formal Wizard. But after I met you, everything sped up and veered off the course I'd planned. Originally, I expected a long period of preparation, to remain a Wizard Apprentice for longer, but I also intended to leave as soon as I became a Formal Wizard. Now both things have changed somewhat, departing from what I originally expected."

Big Guy slurped some tea as he spoke, ignoring the larger teacup Ruger brought out. He seemed quite fond of these little cups.

Ruger raised an eyebrow. Though he was the one who had obtained the privilege, he had never expected Big Guy to become a Free Demon Hunter and leave before him.

The fellow had probably already intended to leave when he chose to live alone on the island.

"I thought it would be Wizard Jillian," Ruger suddenly said, seemingly out of nowhere.

Mahama paused, but quickly understood what he meant and raised his oversized eyebrows.

"You're leaving too?" Mahama asked.

"I originally thought Wizard Jillian would be the second to leave, after me, because I'll wait until I reach the Third Ring before leaving, while she's already a Three-Ring Wizard.
