Differences Across Different Timelines

Trunks's words brought back painful memories, and sorrow involuntarily welled up in his eyes.

Although Trunks said nothing, Vegeta had already understood everything from his eyes!

Vegeta's forehead bulged with veins as he gritted his teeth and roared, "What exactly happened?!"

"Alright, alright. Trunks has only just arrived in this world and is still having trouble adjusting. Stop upsetting him, everyone. Calm down," Li Wei soothed.

Vegeta clicked his tongue, released Trunks's collar, and turned to leave, though his back radiated irritation!

Cumber did not care about any of that. Right now, all he wanted was a proper fight with Trunks.

"Cumber, since you want to fight so badly, I happen to be full of rage right now. Let's have a match!" Vegeta snorted through gritted teeth.

Cumber's eyes lit up as he threw back his head and laughed. "Sure! My compatriot, let me see whether your strength has improved lately!"

The two assumed their stances, ready to fight.

"Don't overdo it," Li Wei reminded them before unfolding the Meta Field.

Trunks and Mai were both shocked by the suddenly changing scenery around them, while Son Goku had long since grown used to it.

Boom!!

Below them, one blue and one golden pillar of light shot into the sky, their powerful auras making even Trunks feel uncomfortable.

Li Wei pointed a finger, and a barrier spread out, blocking the surging pressure.

Trunks stared at his father below, his pupils trembling slightly as he cried out, "Th-that is... Super Saiyan God Blue? No! That's not right. It looks similar, but the aura is completely different!"

Son Goku asked curiously, "Trunks, have you seen Vegeta transform like that before?"

After a moment of silence, Trunks nodded. "I once traveled to the past to seek help from my father and Uncle Goku. I saw them transform like this, but although Dad's transformation looks somewhat similar, the aura seems different."

Bang!!

Vegeta and Cumber had already begun fighting below.

Vegeta unleashed his full strength, and he and Cumber in his Super Saiyan state fought to a standstill!

"Hahaha, my compatriot, this feels great! Truly great! You've gotten stronger again!" Cumber laughed.

The two fought for more than an hour before Vegeta finally lost when his strength gave out!

Trunks watched the entire battle, and the shock on his face was beyond words!

"So strong! Father from this timeline is so strong! Based on the past I know, Dad at this point in time shouldn't even have been able to transform into a Super Saiyan!" Trunks said in astonishment.

"Some timelines differ only slightly, while others differ greatly. It all depends on where they diverged," Li Wei explained.

Trunks nodded in understanding.

The Meta Field dissipated.

Vegeta lay on the ground, panting heavily, while Cumber remained completely calm. The difference between them was obvious!

After glancing at his father, Trunks turned his gaze to Cumber. This Saiyan he had never met before was actually this powerful!

With only a Super Saiyan transformation, he could suppress his father, whose power rivaled Super Saiyan Blue. It was utterly terrifying!

A short while later.

Vegeta recovered some of his stamina, and Cumber stopped clamoring for a fight. Everyone had calmed down.

Son Goku looked seriously at Trunks and asked, "Trunks, can you tell us everything that happened in your world?"

Trunks looked around at everyone present, thought for a moment, and finally told them all about his experiences.

After hearing Trunks's story, everyone frowned involuntarily.

What Trunks had experienced bore some similarities to their world, but most of it was different!

The biggest difference was Li Wei!

According to Trunks, whether in the past or the future, he had never heard of anyone named Li Wei. But how could that be possible?!

With Li Wei's strength, he could not possibly be an unknown nobody!

Son Goku and Vegeta both looked at Li Wei in confusion. Cumber, however, had no interest in such trivial matters. After briefly learning about Trunks's past, he left with little interest.

Vegeta's lips moved as if he wanted to ask something, but he was too embarrassed to speak.

Son Goku had no such reservations and immediately voiced his doubts. "Li Wei, it seems that neither Trunks's world nor the world he traveled back to has you in it. What's going on?"

Li Wei calmly explained, "That's because I am unique. Among countless universes, only this timeline has me. I do not exist in any other timeline. That is also the most fundamental difference between our world and the others."

"I see."

Everyone came to a realization. If the other worlds did not have a great being like Li Wei, then it was no surprise that disasters occurred there. After all, every disaster this world had faced so far had been resolved under Li Wei's lead.

"Trunks, since your world was destroyed by Zeno, you should stay in this timeline. After all, traveling through time at will is a serious crime."

"If you run into a God of Destruction from some timeline, you and this girl could be destroyed without hesitation! When that happens, neither of you would even have a soul left!" Li Wei warned.

Vegeta stared deeply at Trunks upon hearing this, then snorted. "In that case, Trunks, you and that woman should stay... Even if you do not think for yourself, you should think for her. She should just be an ordinary person, right?"

Trunks instinctively glanced at Mai, who smiled. "Trunks, you don't need to worry about me. Just do what you want!"

Those words made Trunks finally make up his mind.

"Dad, then Mai and I will be in your care from now on!" Trunks said with a slight bow.

"Hmph! Come on. I'll take you to see Bulma, and while we're at it, I'll properly test your strength. Let's see what you're really made of!"

After saying that, Vegeta greeted Li Wei, then left Noah's Temple with Trunks and Mai.

"Li Wei, Trunks said that Frieza and his father would come to Earth for revenge around this time. Do you think they'll come?" Son Goku asked expectantly.

Li Wei shot Son Goku an annoyed look. "I already told you, there are differences between timelines! Even if you gave Frieza and his father ten times the courage, they still wouldn't dare cause trouble on Earth!"

"Really? What a shame. I wanted to have a proper match with Frieza." Son Goku said disappointedly.

"If you want to fight, go find Cumber. He'll welcome you anytime, anywhere." As soon as Li Wei finished speaking, Cumber teleported over.

"Is someone looking for a fight?" Cumber asked excitedly.
