Background / History

Champa found Qi Heng twenty years earlier amid the ruins of a war-torn planet in Universe 7. Drawn by Champa's promise of food from across the universe, Qi Heng left his wasteland home and entered Universe 6. 2 7

He spent twenty cosmic years under Vados's severe training, repeatedly fighting until collapse and continuing to train alone in the void. His growth transformed him from an ordinary Saiyan into Universe 6's candidate God of Destruction. 2 8

Qi Heng eventually surpassed Champa in battle. Though Champa initially viewed the outcome as humiliating, he came to take pride in Qi Heng's growth and acknowledge that it was Qi Heng's own will, judgment, and composure that made the difference. 7 8

Champa later presented him to Beerus as Universe 6's candidate. Qi Heng's ability to neutralize Beerus's destructive energy drew Beerus into a serious fight, during which Qi Heng awakened Super Saiyan 5. 12 13 18 19

During the battle with Beerus, Qi Heng chose to protect a mortal planet from collateral destruction despite exposing himself to Beerus's attack. Following their clashes, he vanished into unstable space-time. 28 34
