Background
Baby is the final creation of the Tuffles’ vengeance against the Saiyans. Created through hatred and technology, he embodies the resentment left by the destruction of Tuffle Planet and seeks repayment from every person with Saiyan blood. 48 57
Rather than relying solely on direct force, Baby begins his campaign through covert parasitism across Earth. His objective expands beyond revenge: after claiming Vegeta as his strongest host, he intends to use Bulma’s mind and Capsule Corporation technology to conquer the universe. 51 56 58
Appearance
Most depictions of Baby show him after he has completely taken over Vegeta. His possessed form retains Vegeta’s physique but bears unnatural signs of Tuffle control; after fully liberating the host’s power, it becomes visibly more monstrous. 56 67 70
- Silver-white hair with a cold, metallic sheen. 53 57
- Dark vertical facial markings extending across the face, neck, and body. 56 67
- Dark-red eyes marked by malice; in his liberated state, they become gold threaded with red. 57 70
- A black skintight battle suit while controlling Vegeta. 67
- Black armored plating, spikes, bone-like joint protrusions, and enlarged musculature in his fully liberated state. 70
- When expelled, he manifests as a black, vaporous humanoid mass before solidifying. 75
Personality
Baby is driven by inherited racial hatred rather than a personal grievance alone. He regards Saiyans as the collective enemy responsible for Tuffle Planet’s destruction and takes particular satisfaction in defiling Vegeta’s body, pride, and memories. 56 57 74
He is cruel, theatrical, and possessive, treating controlled people as puppets and potential hosts as resources. His confidence becomes hysteria when Qi Heng exposes his inability to truly wield Vegeta’s strength, and his bravado repeatedly gives way to fear before opponents he cannot overcome. 58 60 61 64
Abilities & Skills
Parasitic Infiltration
Baby infects hosts by planting microscopic eggs that travel through the bloodstream and lodge near neural centers. 53
- Hatched larvae erode and replace neural synapses, gradually seizing control of the host’s body. 53
- Hosts retain awareness for a time but are unable to resist or control their own actions. 53
- His infection bypasses conventional combat strength by targeting victims while they are asleep and defenseless. 63
- His control spreads to ordinary humans, animals, and major fighters across Earth. 52 53 66
Host Possession and Mind Control
Baby can completely overwrite a host’s will and use their body, power, and memories for his own purposes. 56 58
- Vegeta becomes Baby’s primary and most powerful host. 55 57
- He uses fragments of Vegeta’s memories to identify Qi Heng as an unfamiliar Saiyan. 58
- Gohan, Goten, Piccolo, Tien Shinhan, and Chiaotzu are among the fighters placed under his control. 53 63
- He manipulates controlled warriors through dark energy and uses them as extensions of his force. 64 65
- He seeks Goku and Gohan as “perfect hosts.” 64
Stolen Saiyan Power
While possessing Vegeta, Baby can access Saiyan ki and combat power, though he cannot fully reproduce Vegeta’s battle instinct, pride, or experience. 60
- His initial possession is constrained by the host body’s capacity. 54
- Qi Heng states that Baby cannot bring out even one-tenth of Vegeta’s true strength. 60
- Goku likewise judges Baby’s strength to be below Vegeta’s own. 69
- His liberated form extracts more of Vegeta’s blood and power, temporarily making him strong enough to overwhelm Goku’s Super Saiyan 3 form. 70 71
Energy Manipulation
Baby wields black and dark-red ki with extreme destructive force. 58 60 74
- Fires compressed black energy spheres capable of warping nearby light and air. 60
- Creates a massive black Destruction Sphere intended to erase Goku and West City. 71 72
- Launches a star-level black energy sphere at Qi Heng, leaving spatial cracks and reducing surrounding debris to ash. 74
- Produces tangible energy remnants during high-speed attacks, creating seven simultaneous-looking attack positions around Goku. 70
Regeneration
After being struck through the abdomen by Goku, Baby regenerates damaged flesh at a visible rate while black fluid leaks from his wounds. 70
Relationships
- The Tuffles — Baby is the product and embodiment of their revenge against the Saiyans following Tuffle Planet’s destruction. 48 49 57
- Vegeta — His primary host; Baby steals Vegeta’s body, power, memories, and appearance after parasitizing him. 55 56 64
- Gohan, Goten, and Piccolo — Controlled warriors used as puppets and combat support. 57 63 65

- Bulma — A target for her technological knowledge and access to Capsule Corporation’s resources. 56 58
Story Role / Major Arcs
Earth’s Silent Infection
Baby begins operating in secret shortly after Qi Heng identifies the Dragon Ball GT timeline. His parasitism rapidly spreads through West City and then across Earth, turning civilians, animals, and fighters into scarlet-eyed puppets. 48 51 52 53
Possession of Vegeta
After planting an egg inside Vegeta, Baby overwhelms the Saiyan prince’s resistance and fully takes his body. He then approaches Capsule Corporation with the controlled Gohan and Goten, demanding Bulma and seeking Qi Heng’s powerful Saiyan body. 55 56 57 58
First Defeat and Escape
Qi Heng effortlessly defeats Baby with a single punch and dismisses his stolen power as inferior to Vegeta’s own. Although Qi Heng could kill him, he deliberately permits Baby to escape with Gohan and Goten because Baby’s threat is needed to drive Goku toward Super Saiyan 4. 59 60 61
Battle Against Goku
Baby returns with further controlled fighters and confronts Goku. Goku defeats his possessed allies and initially overpowers Baby in Super Saiyan 3, but Baby unleashes his fully liberated form, regenerates from Goku’s attack, and brutally pushes Goku to collapse. 64 69 70 71
Destruction
When Baby attempts to finish Goku with a massive energy sphere, Qi Heng intervenes. Qi Heng later drains Vegeta’s energy, compels Baby to leave the host body, binds his true form, and throws him into the sun, where he is slowly burned into ashes. 72 74 75
