"I agree." Chen Feng spoke quietly, yet everyone in the training grounds heard him clearly.

Champa froze, his mouth falling slightly open.

He had prepared a whole heap of arguments, even thought up all sorts of countermeasures for being put on the spot or rejected. Yet Chen Feng agreed in a single sentence, so readily that it caught him completely off guard.

In the distance, Vados lightly turned the staff in her hand, and a streak of light shimmered across its crystal orb.

"However—" Chen Feng abruptly changed his tone, like a sharp sword drawn halfway from its sheath before stopping.

He rose to his feet and leaped down from the rock. He landed without a sound, not even stirring a speck of dust.

He slowly walked toward Champa, his steps steady. Each one seemed to fall upon some invisible rhythm, carrying an oppressive presence.

"However, I have a few conditions."

Champa's heart immediately rose to his throat again. He was terribly nervous. "What conditions?"

"First, I decide the contestants. Who Planet Sadala sends and how many it sends are entirely up to me."

Champa gritted his teeth, the flesh on his fat face trembling.

He glanced at Vados, and the angel gave him an almost imperceptible nod.

"Fine." He forced the word out through his throat as though swallowing a thorn.

"Second, for the five days before the tournament, you and Vados must stay on Planet Sadala."

Chen Feng swept his gaze across the training grounds, then over the towering Saiyan structures in the distance and the aircraft circling overhead.

"Until the tournament begins, neither of you goes anywhere."

Champa's expression changed at once, turning pale before flushing red. "What? You want me to stay here? On this... on this barbaric planet?"
