Background

Shangguan Yuanxin is the Shangguan Family's first heir and the executive in charge of Bauhinia Group, a major corporation in the City of Magic. Before the apocalypse, she is a renowned upper-class businesswoman whose authority, family standing, and personal security place her far above ordinary employees. 5

Her family secretly manufactures the military machine designated ZI-S001, a closely held secret known to very few people. Bauhinia Lobby Incident

Yuanxin arrives at Bauhinia Group while Jin Gaoyi attempts to frame Mu Xiao for misconduct. She initially orders the Management Department to investigate, but Mu Xiao's disclosure of the ZI-S001 code and its data-integration error reveals knowledge he should not possess. She immediately halts her bodyguards and brings him to her office for a private discussion. 5

Negotiation and Hostage Crisis

In her office, Yuanxin discovers that Mu Xiao knows of both the Shangguan Family's secret military project and her two hidden S-Class robots. She refuses his demand for all of Bauhinia's liquid capital and attempts to use her family alliance with the An Family as leverage. 6 7

Mu Xiao escalates the confrontation by using his killing aura and an Overclocked Microwave Blade to force Yuanxin to disable the alarms and robots. Under coercion, she provides Bauhinia and personal account access, allowing him to take billions of credits for supplies. 7 8

After decrypting Mu Xiao's message about the New Human Plan, failed evolvers, and the stockpile at No. 9 Warehouse, Yuanxin concludes that he foresaw the disaster. Rather than follow his suggested route, she leads her bodyguards, Lü Xiaoman, and Xia Qian toward Mu Xiao's residence, wagering that his supplies and knowledge offer the best chance of survival. 14
