Background

Mu Xiao was born on the Moon into a powerful family. When he was sixteen, his family lost a political struggle; his parents were killed, and he and his younger sister, Mu Xuanyin, were cast down to Earth. In his original life, Xuanyin later died during his pursuit of revenge. 1

He survived the Evolution Era, became a Veteran Evolution-Level fighter, and fought in a major battle on the Moon before dying. He then awakens in his younger body on August 28, 2288—the day the Evolution Frenzy begins—retaining his memories of the future. 1

His second life is driven by several aims: protect Xuanyin, seize opportunities lost in the original timeline, settle old grievances, and build enough power to surpass his former self. 1 10 40

After rebirth, Mu Xiao initially inhabits an ordinary young body with a gentle, weak-looking appearance that sharply contrasts with his hardened mentality. Successive enhancements reshape him into a tall, lean, powerfully built New Human. 1 37

Personality

Mu Xiao is calm, calculating, and intensely self-reliant. Having witnessed the cruelty of the future Evolution Era, he treats resources, information, and personal strength as the foundations of survival. He rejects the role of a savior and believes dependence on others is dangerous. 16 17

His pragmatism can be ruthless. He extorts resources from Shangguan Yuanxin, uses An Rongru's terror to force her dormant potential to awaken, and accepts devouring Mutant Human Blood Energy as a path to power. 7 27 24 However, he attempts to maintain a personal moral boundary, fearing that uncontrolled negative emotions and power could corrupt his evolution. 36 40

Despite his cold exterior, he is deeply protective of those he accepts as his own. Xuanyin remains his foremost concern; he also protects, trains, and equips An Rongru and Jian Hanyao rather than treating them as disposable followers. 1 29 41 50

Mind Force is Mu Xiao's incomplete fusion of Mind Source Force and Pure Mental Power. It is his primary trump card and has the potential to develop into both Source Force Martial Arts and Soul Secret Arts. 15

Rebirth and Pre-Apocalypse Preparation

Mu Xiao returns to August 28, 2288 with less than nine hours before the Evolution Frenzy. He immediately summons Xuanyin home, modifies weapons, creates an S-Rank Physique Enhancement Drug, and prepares to exploit the imminent collapse of order. 1 3

At Bauhinia Group, he publicly rejects his former meek identity, exposes knowledge of the secret ZI-S001 project, and coerces Shangguan Yuanxin into surrendering two billion credits. He later leaves survival instructions for her group before departing for the law firm. 4 5 7 14

Miracle Serum and Law-Firm Base

Mu Xiao races to the law firm to find Water Bailan before her first evolution. He calms her emotional collapse, obtains her blood, injects the flawed genetic serum, and endures a three-day transformation that gives him his dual mental abilities. 10 12 15

He then clears the building's zombies, harvests Evolutionary Power Sources and Blood Beads, discovers the underground supply stockpile, and claims the law firm as a covert base. 17 19 22

Mutant Human Hunt

After being ambushed by a Mutant Woman, Mu Xiao overdraws Mind Force to kill her. He absorbs her Evolutionary Power Source, devours her blood to reach the Top-Tier First Realm, and gains Mechanical Mastery from her Ability Source. 22 23 24

An Rongru and the Villa District

Mu Xiao finds An Rongru hiding in the law-firm building. He forces her into life-or-death situations to awaken her New Human potential, equips her, and considers her villa district as a possible overt base. 25 27 29

After fighting the Guard Mutant Human, he credits An Rongru's decisive cannon shot, gives her the Life Detection Ability Source, and begins training her mental resilience and combat ability. 34 35 38

Jian Hanyao and Faction Conflict

Mu Xiao infiltrates the villa to retrieve Jian Hanyao, clashes with her combat ability, and recognizes her as the future Violent Princess. He promises An Rongru that he can guide Hanyao into becoming a Super New Human powerhouse. 44 45
