Soundwave Arrives (Please Favorite and Recommend)

"Damn it, it's the Autobots!"

Onslaught glared into the distance, his eyes practically spitting fire.

Sun Cheng was not surprised by this. As far as he knew, the two highly similar mechanical lifeforms—the Decepticons and the Autobots—had fought for millions of years over control of Cybertron. They were mortal enemies, the kind who wanted nothing more than to kill each other on sight.

What puzzled him, however, was why there were Autobots on Earth.

"It's Bumblebee..."

Laserbeak tried to pursue him for a while, but soon returned. Clutched beneath his abdomen was a small Decepticon who struggled nonstop—it was none other than Beam Splitter, who had been acting alongside Bonecrusher before slipping away midway.

"Let me go, you bastard from the Cassette Corps..."

Though Laserbeak had him suspended in midair, Beam Splitter was anything but obedient, still shouting arrogantly.

Onslaught was no fool. After retracting his cannon into his body, he turned to Beam Splitter with a hostile tone. "Did you lead him here?"

Red light flickered continuously in Beam Splitter's eyes. Though he shut his mouth and stopped spouting nonsense, that only confirmed that Onslaught's guess was correct. The reason they had suddenly encountered an Autobot and nearly taken a shell from him was entirely this bastard's fault.

Laserbeak angrily hurled him down from the air. Unfortunately, while the fall caught Beam Splitter off guard and sent him sprawling face-first onto the ground, it did little else.

Apparently finding him irritating to look at, Onslaught snorted, transformed directly back into his heavy truck form, and continued rushing toward the location from which Bonecrusher had called for help.

Sun Cheng climbed aboard, though he did not enter the cab. Instead, he sat on top of it.

This time, Laserbeak did not land again. He kept circling in the sky, and no one knew what he was thinking.

They sped onward, and before long, the sounds of gunfire and explosions grew denser.

"Prepare for battle..."

From afar, Onslaught saw Bonecrusher being brazenly strafed from above by a group of American military aircraft. With a roar, he gave the order, transformed into his humanoid form, and raised his cannon at an AH-1Z attack helicopter that was relentlessly bombarding Bonecrusher. One shot blasted it into a cloud of debris in midair, scattering disintegrated aircraft parts everywhere.

"Stay back..."

After warning Sun Cheng, Laserbeak immediately spread his wings, accelerated, and charged toward an A-10 attack aircraft. The two machine guns beneath his abdomen began frantically firing at its engines.

Boom...

As one engine exploded, the A-10 attack aircraft that had been pinning Bonecrusher down so fiercely finally lost its combat capability. After wobbling through the air for a while, it quickly plummeted toward the ground.

The arrival of Onslaught and Laserbeak, two Decepticons capable of aerial combat, undoubtedly relieved Bonecrusher of his predicament.

He lacked the ability to strike back at airborne targets, and his speed was slow to boot. If the armor on his body had not been specially reinforced alloy capable of withstanding most human heavy weapons, he would never have lasted until reinforcements arrived.

Even so, when Sun Cheng looked at Bonecrusher from afar, he found him in a miserable state. Cracks covered his body, and the front half of his left arm had even been blown off. Clearly, even an elite Decepticon warrior with overwhelming individual combat power was not invincible.

"Damn it... damn it... these disgusting insects..."

Watching Onslaught and Laserbeak swiftly turn the situation around for him, Bonecrusher—who had no anti-air capabilities—could only stand on the ground and curse furiously.

After blasting an F-16 fighter belonging to the United States National Guard into fragments in midair, Onslaught looked at the few remaining aircraft fleeing in disarray, shook his head, and put away his weapon. "Let's go. More reinforcements should be arriving soon. We don't have time to waste..."

Bonecrusher gave a muffled grunt but did not argue. It was obvious that he and Onslaught did not get along, but Bonecrusher clearly understood that if Onslaught had not come to save him today, he might have died here.

He wanted to butt heads with him, but lacked the confidence to do so. He could only silently transform back into an armored mine-clearing vehicle and drive toward Starscream's base without even offering a word of thanks.

Onslaught had probably guessed that the guy would not thank him. He looked at Sun Cheng and Laserbeak, then asked, "Are you two planning to return to Starscream's base as well?"

"No, Lord Onslaught. I don't think it's safe there anymore!"

Before Sun Cheng could speak, Laserbeak had already descended and answered first in his shrill electronic voice.

"At least you're not stupid!" Onslaught snorted softly and looked at Bonecrusher, who had gradually disappeared from view. "I have another hiding place elsewhere. Since Soundwave and the Autobots have both arrived, the AllSpark must be on Earth..."

"And Lord Megatron..."

Sun Cheng suddenly added.

Just then, as if struck by inspiration, a thought abruptly surfaced in his mind: Starscream, who had arrived on Earth decades ago, had very likely already confirmed that Megatron and the AllSpark were both on Earth.

The evidence was not difficult to find. When he had previously infiltrated the global internet, he had found quite a few Decepticon emblems and Cybertronian texts.

The reason Starscream had never gone looking for Megatron might well have been that he intended to launch another rebellion. That was why he needed nuclear warheads—because against someone as powerful as Megatron, aside from beings of the same level, perhaps only weapons of mass destruction created solely for annihilation, like nuclear warheads, could destroy him completely.

And when Barricade had partnered with him, he had never once mentioned the AllSpark. Perhaps Starscream had already obtained some information about the AllSpark and wanted to monopolize it, using its power to create an army for himself.

Of course, these were merely conclusions he had barely pieced together from the information currently available to him.

There were still many things Sun Cheng could not understand. For example, why had Starscream deliberately exposed his base to Soundwave and tried to lure him to Earth?

Onslaught looked at him but said nothing.

He silently transformed back into his heavy truck form before urging them, "We should leave too..."

"Yes!"

Laserbeak spread his wings and took flight, quickly rising high into the sky and beginning to circle.

Sun Cheng looked at him with a touch of envy, then sighed and climbed into Onslaught's cab.

The instant the door closed, the blue light in his eyes flickered. Just then, Laserbeak had suddenly sent him an encrypted transmission, telling Sun Cheng that Soundwave had learned of what was happening on Earth and would soon be arriving from Moon Base.

Thinking of Soundwave, whom Starscream had already tricked through his own hands, and of what Frenzy had suffered after being revived, the relief Sun Cheng had felt after temporarily escaping Starscream's notice instantly turned heavy once more.
