Wheeljack had been born during Cybertron's Elder Council era. Long before the Decepticon Corps came into being, he had already been a renowned scholar of Cybertronian civilization.

For that reason, he had worked for the Cybertronian government long ago and had been involved in many projects.

Among them was research into the Quintessons, the ancient enemies of Cybertronian civilization who had once colonized Cybertron.

To all Cybertronians, the word "Quintessons" was a taboo, a thorn deeply embedded in their bodies.

Thus, the instant Wheeljack cried out the name, Sentinel Prime, who understood its significance better than anyone else in the conference room, practically shot to his feet.

"The Quintessons... the Planetary Transformation Corps... Wheeljack, are you sure your conclusion is correct?"

"It can't be wrong, Your Majesty!"

Wheeljack's face was incomparably grave. "During the Elder Council era, I was invited to the Academy of Sciences to participate in cracking and researching certain Quintessa Civilization technologies. I can say with absolute certainty that this seemingly chaotic electromagnetic signal Goldbug sent back is the unique communication wave of the Quintessa Civilization's Planetary Transformation Corps."

Quite a few Autobots in the conference room had only been born after the Cybertronian Civil War.

So Wheeljack had to spend some time giving them a brief explanation.

"The Quintessa Civilization is a colonial civilization born in the southwestern region of the Milky Way. Like us Cybertronians, they are silicon-based lifeforms."

"This civilization was even more insane than the Decepticons. After developing into an interstellar civilization, they constantly expanded outward, seizing planet after planet and turning them into colonies."

"Our homeworld, Cybertron, was also colonized by the Quintessons millions of years ago. The earliest Decepticons, including Megatron and the others, were evil experimental creations cultivated by the Quintessons during their experiments on Cybertron."
