After all, the Arctic Circle was too far from South America, and Canada had the United States next door, a nation holding the largest nuclear arsenal in the world. Even if Sun Cheng wanted to intervene, he lacked the means to do so.

So although satellites were still watching the Arctic Circle and monitoring further developments, Sun Cheng himself was no longer personally keeping an eye on the matter.
