After staying on Mars for a brief month, Sun Cheng conducted his first truly thorough inspection of the entire Mars Base.

To him, this was likely the final inspection of the rear before the war.

After finishing his inspection of all the factories and defensive installations at Mars Base, he once again boarded a specially modified Golden Eagle Armed Transport Ship and began the journey back to Earth with the two pilots.

For this return trip, the transport ship maintained nearly its maximum speed throughout the entire journey.

Traveling even faster than on the way there, Sun Cheng and the others returned to Earth a little over ten days later.

The moment the spacecraft landed on a landing pad at Base Two in South America, before he had even stepped off the ship, he sensed a powerful electromagnetic frequency.

It was Thunder!

Clearly, he had rushed over from the central control base.

Something must have happened!

Sun Cheng could sense the violent electromagnetic fluctuations emanating from Thunder. They were like the drastic emotional changes humans experienced when they became agitated.

And after he stepped off the ship, Thunder, just as he had expected, hurried forward to pay his respects before delivering some very bad news.

"Master, while you were gone for the past month or so, some terrible changes took place on Earth. The Autobots have replaced their leader. Sentinel Prime has wiped out most of the Decepticon Corps' and our strongholds in Africa."

It truly was terrible intelligence. Ever since Sentinel Prime had awakened, Sun Cheng had guessed that this King of Primus would become the greatest destabilizing factor.

But he had thought Optimus Prime's presence would, to some extent, restrain Sentinel Prime's ambitions.

After all, Optimus Prime, who now possessed the [Matrix of Leadership], was simply too powerful.
