Optimus Prime stopped fighting, and Sentinel Prime tacitly refrained from tangling with him again.

The two Autobot leaders stood apart, staring coldly at each other.

Looking at the former mentor before him, Optimus Prime felt, for the first time in his life, that this teacher of his was so unfamiliar.

"I refuse!"

He calmly rejected Sentinel Prime's proposal, without anger or resentment.

"I may indeed not be a qualified leader, but I believe the peace the Autobots seek must never be built upon the destruction of another civilization."

"Perhaps the road is winding, but I will lead the Autobots in finding another path to coexist peacefully with the humans of Earth."

"As for Cybertron, the sins we have committed are already great enough. Let it go. Now, only the power of time—or the Creator being reborn—can allow it to slowly recover!"

Sentinel Prime stared at the resolute Optimus Prime and sighed.
