But he had also been hesitating over whether to stay.
Although he had learned that the Cybertronian Civil War had ended, and knew of Cybertron's current miserable state, it was still his homeworld. He still held deep feelings for the planet that had raised him.
But Cybertron was now under the control of the Decepticon Corps.
Jetfire had learned from Frenzy and the others that Shockwave was currently the highest-ranking commander left behind by the Decepticon Corps on Cybertron. Shockwave had once been both his teacher and friend.
But that Shockwave, the one who had been both teacher and friend, had already died in Jetfire's heart during the era of Cybertron's Elder Council.
Ever since he had undergone Shadow Play and the Five Punishments, Shockwave had been left with nothing but an obsession with his own ideals and beliefs.
The Shockwave who still lived now was, at least in Jetfire's eyes, merely a demon wearing Shockwave's shell.
He was rational to the point of ruthlessness, cruel and bloodthirsty, capable of pushing through one horrific experiment after another without the slightest hesitation.
Back then, Jetfire had tried to persuade Shockwave to resist Megatron with him, only to be mercilessly betrayed.
Because of that, what little relationship remained between them had completely vanished.
Therefore, although Jetfire had considered returning to his homeworld, he was not so resolute because he did not want to see Shockwave again.
As for joining the Autobots!
Jetfire had considered it, and the thought had actually arisen during his wandering years.
He had been a great scientist during the peak of Cybertronian civilization. Sentinel Prime, the former king of Cybertron, had once sought his advice on Space Bridge technology.
Although Jetfire had
