Background / History

Director Su was an old acquaintance of Qi Dao's parents. When Qi Dao enrolled at Notting Academy, he personally escorted the new student to the dormitory. 4

He later intervened alongside Headmaster Hans after Qi Dao severely wounded Xiao Haijie. Director Su ordered the students involved to wait in his office, promised to support Xiao Chenyu's group if they had not instigated the conflict, and personally examined Xiao Haijie's injury before administering soul power. 8

At the infirmary, he joined Hans in reprimanding Xiao Haijie for bullying younger students and threatening to notify the boy's father. 9 He also watched Qi Dao's wagered rematch with Xiao Haijie and, afterward, emphasized the importance of self-control; he and the other staff restricted Qi Dao's dangerous swordsmanship in future spars. 13 14

Personality

Director Su is stern about academy order and student misconduct. He responds decisively to violent incidents, but distinguishes aggressors from students acting in self-defense. 8 9

He is also attentive to student safety. Rather than treating Qi Dao's overexertion as a disciplinary matter, he helped ensure the boy received medical attention and later supported restrictions intended to prevent severe injuries during sparring. 8 14
