Whoosh!
The instant he entered, Constantine pulled out a folding knife and sliced through the ropes binding Tony.
"Cough, cough, cough—"
Tony dropped to his knees, gulping in air. He had nearly been strangled to death!
"Breathe. Hello, what's your name? Thank you for saving me."
Still panting, Tony looked at Constantine gratefully.
"Hellblazer, John Constantine."
The cigarette between his fingers continued to smolder as Constantine gave a faint smile.
"Now then, let's talk about my fee."
"..." Tony.
Outside the computer.
The others could not hear what they were saying and could only wait anxiously.
Seeing Constantine rescue Tony, they smiled.
The two seemed to exchange a few words and reach some sort of agreement.
Pepper prayed inwardly that, as long as Tony could be rescued, she would prepare a huge red envelope for Constantine.
"Deal!"
He really was a big boss—he did not even blink at one million dollars.
Muttering happily to himself, Constantine casually pulled a bottle filled with blood from his pocket.
He dipped a finger into the blood, crouched down, and rapidly drew an inverted pentagram magic circle on the ground.
The circle was blood-red, its symbols steeped in evil. As Constantine chanted an incantation and pressed his hand to the ground, black smoke swelled violently from the center of the circle.
"Who? Who dares summon the great Lord Babas?!"
The demon had barely emerged with a roar, before it could inspect its surroundings or search for a sacrifice, when it saw the mage who had summoned it grab a man and vanish with a whoosh, without even saying goodbye.
What the hell was this? Where was the promised sacrifice?!
The demon stood there dumbfounded. Before it could figure out what was happening, a knotted hemp rope dropped straight down from above, looping around its neck and hoisting its body into the air.
What the fuck? What the hell was this now?
Fuck your grandma!
"Damn it! What maggot dares obstruct the great Lord Babas?!"
The demon was furious. Not only had that mage failed to provide the promised sacrifice, but the moment it came out, it got hanged up—what the hell was going on?!
Hellfire burst from its body, burning through the hemp rope in an instant. Before the demon could gloat, an old woman flickered into existence, and even more hemp ropes wrapped around it.
"Fuck... wraith, you're courting death!!"
Boom! Boom! Boom!!!
It was like Mars colliding with Earth as the demon and the wraith, Fusang Wife, engaged in a fierce battle.
Outside the television.
The air rippled, and Constantine escaped with Tony.
The moment Tony came out, everyone hurried over and surrounded him.
Pepper: "Tony, are you hurt? Does it hurt?"
Happy: "Tony, how are you? Does anything hurt?"
Coulson: "Mr. Stark, it's wonderful that you made it out safely."
Natasha said nothing, but concern showed in her eyes as well.
Shaking his head, Tony stood where he was, closed his eyes, and took deep breaths of the fresh outside air.
In that "room," he had despaired, believing he was doomed to die. Thankfully, someone had saved his life.
Constantine stood to one side, silently taking out a cigarette from his pocket and lighting it as he watched the computer screen.
It all felt as unreal as watching a special-effects movie. Coulson walked over and suppressed his shock as he asked, "Mr. Constantine, what was that thing you summoned just now...?"
"A demon. A demon from this world, one that exists in Hell."
[Emotion Points from Phil Coulson +433]
"So demons really do exist in this world!"
This information was extremely important. Coulson was startled inwardly and quickly concluded that S.H.I.E.L.D.'s understanding of this world was still far from sufficient—they needed more intelligence.
With that thought, Constantine's value in his eyes rose even higher.
Wearing his usual good-natured smile, he pointed at the image on the computer screen.
"Mr. Constantine, who do you think would win—the demon or that vengeful spirit?"
Flicking ash from his cigarette, Constantine answered without hesitation, "I don't know."
Seeing Coulson's puzzled expression, he added, "To be honest, I don't really know how strong that vengeful spirit is.
And this is the first time I've summoned this demon. Who wins and who loses—we'll only know after they fight!"
This...
Coulson's heart sank.
If even a professional couldn't be sure, then this matter was far from something they could rest easy about.
His heart rose into his throat as Constantine's voice continued in his ears.
"In my experience..."
Hm?
Say it already. Why did you stop?
[Emotion Points from Phil Coulson +404]
Coulson did not dare urge him on, his smile frozen on his face.
Natasha, along with Tony Stark and the others who had recovered from their shock, had been watching the situation closely as well.
When they saw him pause, their hearts skipped a beat.

Taking a drag from his cigarette, Constantine finally continued.
"Those two look evenly matched. Even if neither can destroy the other, escaping shouldn't be a problem."
"Ah, they can run away too?"
Natasha parted her lips slightly and asked.
"Of course. They're not mindless beasts."
Natasha felt a little awkward and was just about to change the subject.
The next moment.
Boom!!
The computer suddenly exploded.
Accompanied by a heavy stench of sulfur, the demon burst out of the computer in a swirl of black smoke and plunged straight into Happy's body.
There was no time to stop it. Tony's eyes went wide with fury as he quickly grabbed Happy and shouted.
"Happy, how are you? Answer me!"
Happy's entire body was ice-cold. He trembled as his eyes rolled upward.
Seeing that he was about to die, Tony anxiously shouted at Constantine.
"Constantine, please save Happy! I'll give you a hundred thousand dollars once it's done!"
At those words, the previously lazy Constantine immediately rubbed his hands together, suddenly full of enthusiasm.
He jogged over, chanting an unknown spell. He had Tony roll up Happy's shirt and expose his abdomen, then pressed his palm against Happy's stomach.
Smack!
Happy's belly jolted upward, then quickly fell back down.
A visibly black mass churned inside his body, while the demon's curses rang out.
"You damned mage, how dare you seal me!
Don't let me learn your name, or I swear I'll kill you!!"
Constantine curled his lip in disdain and snapped, "Shut up. You're just a demon. Do you think I was raised to be scared?"
Seeing everyone looking at him with admiration, he raised a hand and pointed to his nose.
"My name never changes, and neither does my seat. If you want trouble, remember my name—Phil Coulson!"
His voice was loud and clear, as though he was afraid the other party might not hear it. It echoed throughout the warehouse.
"Roar, roar, roar!!"
"Damn you, Phil Coulson. I, Lord Babas, will remember you!!"
Sorry about this—yesterday, I was suddenly transferred from Qidian's seventh group to the first group, then I received a contract offer and signed it.
Well. That was pretty sudden ( ̄△ ̄;).
My last book still used a paper contract. Copying, mailing, and changing the status took four or five days altogether. Now it was an electronic contract, and not long after the signing was completed, this book's status changed too (it really was convenient).
It was just... how should I put it. Wasn't that a little too fast?!
I didn't even have time to leave a comment and give you readers a heads-up so you could invest. I didn't even have time to invest in myself.
Ah. This.
