Background

Dai Mubai is the Third Prince of the Star Luo Empire and Dai Weisi's younger brother. The brothers' rivalry culminates in a formal duel intended to determine the next Crown Prince. 183 185

Although he presented himself as someone who had fled Star Luo to escape his fate, Chu Hao concludes that Dai Mubai deliberately chose Shrek Academy for its faculty, resources, and talented students, intending to cultivate himself and recruit useful allies. 148

Dai Mubai's relationship with Zhu Zhuqing deteriorated after she learned he had submitted to Chu Hao to preserve his life. Zhu Zhuqing later reveals that she had awakened during that incident and heard his words, causing her to see his affection and concern as calculated performances. 149 183

Personality

Dai Mubai is calculating, survival-driven, and intensely ambitious for the Star Luo throne. When Chu Hao targets Tang San, he proposes abandoning Tang San so that he and the other Shrek members might live, then openly refuses to interfere. 146

He is capable of rapidly changing his behavior when faced with overwhelming force. After Chu Hao exposes his lies before Zhu Zhuqing, Dai Mubai calls her a tool and attempts to kill her solely to demonstrate loyalty. 184

When Chu Hao confronts Shrek Academy, Dai Mubai argues that abandoning Tang San is their best chance of survival. He withdraws from Tang San and refuses to interfere with Chu Hao's actions. 146

After Tang Hao and Tang San escape, Chu Hao gives Dai Mubai a choice: submit and receive support to take the Star Luo throne, or die and be replaced by Dai Weisi. Dai Mubai ultimately submits under the threat of death. 148 149

Break with Zhu Zhuqing
