Luo Yunji and his companions followed the Ice Bowl’s connection to the Sea of Nether Domain, which the Ancient Remnants called the Nether Gate. After confronting its illusions and a deadly Lizi, they pressed deeper into the forest and encountered strange black threads.

• Luo Yunji transformed forty soldiers with the Ice Bowl, then led the group toward the Sea of Nether Domain after they found black mist trapped in the bowl.
• The group discovered that the Sea of Nether Domain had changed into a warm, overgrown wilderness, where giant wolves chased them until Ancient Remnants killed the pack and guided them onward.
• The Ancient Remnants’ Clan Chief called the forbidden domain the Nether Gate and recognized Luo Yunji as the Son of God after seeing the Nether Mist and the Sacred Artifact.
• Luo Yunji and the others entered the mist-shrouded Forbidden Domain, where Buddhist light protected them from the poisonous fog and they learned the Ancient Remnants feared the seal’s restoration.
• The group encountered shifting illusions and a dying Lizi, which struck Tian Buyi unconscious before Luo Yunji used the Ice Bowl and Ice Mist to expose and freeze it.
• Luo Yunji tore apart Lizi’s corpse and took its claw and heart, while Tian Buyi awoke and learned that the surrounding scenery and refugees had been illusions.
• The group continued through the forest after Luo Yunji ran off for food, and they found fine black threads tangled across the trees.

Luo Yunji and his companions crossed the Sea of Nether Domain, reunited Blackheart Elder with Lady Jinling, and learned that the Boundary Rift was unleashing deadly corruption. Luo Yunji entered a pit of mutated Specters while Tian Buyi and the others waited behind the village barrier.

• Tian Buyi’s group passed through illusions and a black-qi barrier, where they learned the Black-Robed Men were the Seal-Guarding Clan protecting the Boundary Rift.
• Blackheart Elder led the group into Wuyuan Village, where the Old Village Chief welcomed them and revealed his long history with Blackheart Elder.
• Blackheart Elder and Lady Jinling married with the village and their companions celebrating, while He Dazhi recalled the poem they had encountered in Blooddrop Cave.
• The Old Village Chief warned that beings beyond the Boundary Rift were transforming ancient creatures, and Tian Buyi revealed that he sought a way to restore Luo Yunji’s missing soul and spirit.
• Gray-black smoke threatened Wuyuan Village, and Luo Yunji used the Ice Bowl to shield the villagers before pursuing a Black-Robed Man with the five Yin Spirits.
• Luo Yunji and Blackheart Elder exposed the Black-Robed Man as a Specter, who revealed that twenty-two Specters lived in the restricted Life Land.
• Luo Yunji and the five Yin Spirits descended into a vast pit and fought waves of mutated Specters, while Tian Buyi and his disciples waited at the village barrier until the smoke outside receded.

Zhang Xiaofan’s group crossed the Forbidden Ground with Luo Yunji, reached the Altar, and helped close the Boundary Rift. After escaping an illusion in the Sea of Nether Domain, they followed Killing Monk to Flower God's Blessed Land and encountered its dangerous platforms.

• The group fought their way through the Forbidden Ground, where Zhang Xiaofan was wounded by a Huiwen Golden Eagle chick and Luo Yunji later froze a Fire Qilin before collapsing.
• At the Altar, the Five Spirits fought the Black-Robed Men while Luo Yunji climbed to confront a demon seeking to reconnect the Nine Realms.
• Luo Yunji used the Bone Bracelet to heal the Boundary Rift, and Zhang Xiaofan struck the eye that appeared in the closing rift with the Fire Poker.
• The Old Village Chief revealed his role in Wuyuan Village and dissolved into black mist that entered Luo Yunji as the Forbidden Domain and Sea of Nether Domain began to shrink.
• The group woke from an illusion at the Nine-Layer Altar, reunited with their companions, and learned that Luo Yunji still needed the other seas searched to mend his soul.
• Killing Monk led Zhang Xiaofan and the others to Flower God's Blessed Land, where they found a hidden entrance and dangerous platforms.
• Zhang Xiaofan stepped onto the fourth platform despite Killing Monk’s warning, then leaped back with the same delayed-speaking expression as Killing Monk.

Zhang Xiaofan and his companions uncovered the Far North’s secrets, reunited Wuluo with the spirits of his former companions, and returned with treasures and spiritual plants. As Sanfu Town and Two Mountains grew, Luo Yunji took forty soldiers afflicted by Ice Breath back to the Ice Fortress, where the group kept them alive and began helping them recover.

• Zhang Xiaofan and the others solved the platforms’ puzzles, entered the hidden cave, and found a shadow-filled pavilion where Zhang Xiaofan seized a grayish-green Stone before escaping with the group.
• The group returned to Flower God's Blessed Land, where Luo Yunji awakened and used the Treasure Umbrella to restore physical bodies to more than a hundred soldiers who had died in the blizzard.
• Luo Yunji helped Wuluo reunite with Zheng Qi and the other spirits, then used the Treasure Umbrella to collect them and worked with Zhang Xiaofan to make a vast Bamboo Bag from Wuluo’s Stone.
• Wuluo explained the Heaven-Reaching Tower, Boundary Rifts, and the danger posed by depleted spiritual energy as Tian Buyi’s party returned from the far north and reached Sanfu Town.
• Luo Yunji brought the Prince, Daoxuan True Person, and the Big Bamboo Peak disciples to Sanfu Town for a banquet, where the group discussed his future and Duan Ming’s dangerous cultivation problem.
• The group visited Two Mountains, reunited the revived soldiers with their families, and planted spiritual crops and herbs while Luo Yunji helped Du Bishu cultivate spirit grain.
• When forty soldiers began sweating from their Ice Breath, Luo Yunji, He Dazhi, Wu Dayi, and Duan Ming took them to the Ice Fortress and kept them alive while He Dazhi told them to solidify their Ice Breath.
