Dumbledore's Request

The werewolves Dumbledore meant were not those gathered in Knockturn Alley, but Remus Lupin's friends.

Just as he had sent Hagrid to win the giants' friendship, Remus Lupin had also been working to gain the werewolves' support recently.

Dumbledore's idea was simple: as long as they remained neutral and did not help Voldemort, that would be enough.

During the First Wizarding War over a decade ago, Voldemort's servants had included a special group of werewolf Death Eaters. Whenever the moon was full, they attacked wizards and Muggles everywhere.

To stop them, the Aurors and the Order of the Phoenix had paid an enormous price.

So before the Second Wizarding War erupted, Dumbledore had to do everything possible to prevent something like that from happening again.

Unfortunately, things had failed on the giants' side. Hagrid and Madame Maxime had only persuaded a small number of giants not to join the Death Eaters. It was better than nothing, but only barely.

The werewolves, however, were the complete opposite. Many of the werewolves Remus Lupin had contacted not only declared on the spot that they would never join the Death Eaters, but also wanted to help the Order of the Phoenix.

The problem was that not everyone was willing to trust werewolves. Alastor Moody was firmly opposed to it. He had seen too many werewolves and captured too many of them; there was no way he could entrust his back to them.

Over the past few days, the Order of the Phoenix had been arguing fiercely over this matter.

Of course, all of that was happening within the Order. Silvan, who had been attending classes at Hogwarts, knew nothing about it.
