Chapter 686: Snape Comes Calling
"I still have four months before I turn seventeen. I definitely can't take this exam."
"But at least you can Apparate now." Ron looked at Harry. "When the second exam comes around, you'll be able to pass and get your license right away. But I haven't succeeded even once!"
"That's because you're always afraid of Splinching," Hermione said. "The professor reminds us every class to follow the Three Ds. One of them is determination—you have to make up your mind and cast aside every other thought. Only then can you succeed!"
"Easy for you to say," Ron muttered. "Whenever I think of Neville's head floating there, my neck starts itching. I just can't concentrate."
During last Saturday's Apparition lesson, Neville had finally fulfilled the greatest wish of Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington's ghostly existence—completely separating his head from his body.
