Arthur and Molly did their best to persuade Aunt Muriel to stay at The Burrow a while longer, but she refused. The witch stayed only one night and insisted on leaving The Burrow the next day.
Silvan had wanted to go back with her, but the moment he stepped out of the yard, Mad-Eye Moody shoved him back inside.
"I think you'd be better off staying here." Mad-Eye limped into the room.
"Alastor, what happened?"
The others came out one after another, looking at the grim-faced Mad-Eye in confusion.
"I just came back from Diagon Alley," Mad-Eye said, instinctively glancing at Silvan. "Death Eaters are everywhere—the Leaky Cauldron, Gringotts, and Ollivanders Wand Shop—"
Silvan shot to his feet.
"No, my grandfather is still in the wand shop—"
"Don't panic. Let me finish." Moody reached out and stopped Silvan from running outside.
"Garrick Ollivander is fine. Those Death Eaters don't seem to intend to storm the wand shop directly. They're merely lying in wait at the grocery shop across the street and the ice cream shop next door, waiting for an opportunity."
"Besides, I've found a way to inform Garrick of the situation. As long as he doesn't leave the wand shop of his own accord, he should be fine. I assume you prepared enough food in advance, didn't you?"
Silvan nodded.
Ever since Dumbledore's funeral, he had bought a large supply of food and stored it in the shop. With an Undetectable Extension Charm and a Freezing Charm, it would last a long time.
Even Silvan did not know exactly how much he had bought, but it would definitely be enough to last a year or two.
And it was not just him. Everyone had done the same. The only lidded iron barrel beside The Burrow had been enchanted with
