Death Eaters at Hogwarts

The morning mist had yet to fully disperse when a Thestral quietly flew over Ottery St Catchpole and vanished into the depths of the clouds.

Silvan sat on the Thestral's back as the crooked Burrow beneath him grew smaller and smaller, soon disappearing from sight.

Harry and the other two had already made up their minds not to return to Hogwarts. Just as he left the Burrow, they too had set off for London with Bill.

Hermione insisted on going home first, though she did not say why. Harry and Ron did not understand, but they chose to respect her wishes and head to London before truly beginning their investigation.

Silvan, however, knew.

Hermione's parents were both Muggles and had no understanding of what this wizarding war meant. But Hermione did. She knew that once she left the Burrow and truly joined the war, Voldemort could kill her at any moment.

So she had decided to erase her parents' memories of her. That way, even if she really was killed, they would not grieve too deeply.

If she survived the war, she could quickly lift the spell and restore all of her parents' memories.

As long as she was skilled enough with the Memory Charm, they would never know they had forgotten anything.

And what Hermione excelled at most was learning spells.

She certainly would not tell anyone else about this decision, and Silvan likewise pretended not to know.

Then there was Ginny. She had also decided to return to Hogwarts, her task being to win over and unite the others at the school.
