It had to be said, Silvan's suggestion had tempted quite a few people.
"Turning Hogwarts into our home field for the final battle sounds really cool," Seamus said, but he soon frowned slightly. "But the problem now is that we don't have the ability to set traps. That requires advanced knowledge of Ancient Runes, but—honestly, has any of us even taken that class?"
Two or three hands rose unsteadily from the crowd, a pitifully small number.
"Maybe we can make up for it with magical items," someone said. "Like Fanged Frisbees. They're no less destructive than spells."
"But Carrow won't let us leave the school at all."
"That—"
The crowd fell silent again.
"Hey, did I just hear someone needed help?"
At that moment, a somewhat cheerful voice came from behind them.
"Looks like we came at just the right time."
Everyone turned around at once to see a passage suddenly appear out of thin air in the wall behind them. Two identical figures jumped out of it.
"Fred!"
"George!"
Ron stared at them in disbelief. "What are you doing here?"
"Same as you, of course." Fred gave Ron a look of utter disdain, then turned to Silvan.
"Don't forget, we're also shopkeepers in Hogsmeade."
"Although we had to close our shop here temporarily under threat from the Death Eaters—" George put on a grief-stricken expression and clutched his chest, choking back sobs.
"We still left behind some necessary measures." As Fred spoke, he took an ear-shaped object from his pocket and waved it around.
Silvan raised an eyebrow. It was one of the Weasley twins' proudest inventions: Extendable Ears. They had originally used them to eavesdrop on professors' conversations and Order of the Phoenix meetings.
It seemed they had improved the device again and placed them in other shops
