The Great Plan

Dr. Gero's words drifted toward Son Gohan and the others on the biting cold wind, making their hearts suddenly clench.

Dr. Gero looked at Lightning Cell as though admiring a work of art.

He continued, "Cell is the most perfect masterpiece I ever created. In theory, his body can devour endlessly, with absolutely no danger of being overstuffed and bursting apart."

"So, after hearing Future Cell's suggestion, I immediately began modifying the remaining unfinished Android 13, Android 14, Android 15, Android 16, and Android 19."

"That way, Super Perfect Cell can be born!" Dr. Gero looked crazed, the wrinkles on his face bunching together from sheer excitement.

"Madman!" Trunks snapped, his right hand unconsciously gripping the hilt of his sword.

In the future, he had suffered greatly under the ravages of Android 17 and Android 18. He knew all too well how destructive the androids could be.

If Dr. Gero's plan truly went ahead and so many androids were fused into one, the ultimate demon capable of overturning the universe would emerge!

Upon hearing Dr. Gero's words, Android 16, Android 17, and Android 18 abruptly turned and demanded, "What do you mean?"

"Didn't you say that after killing Son Goku and the others, Earth would be left for us to rule?"

The three formed a triangular encirclement around Dr. Gero, demanding an explanation.

Only the fiercely loyal Android 19 did not move. Indecision appeared on his plump face.

"What's this? Infighting?"

Krillin was initially a little bewildered, but then, with the air of someone enjoying a spectacle, he displayed the Earthling instinct for watching drama in full force.

"That was the original plan. If you really could deal with Son Goku and the others, what would it matter if Earth were left for you to rule?"

"I would also have time to begin creating the next batch of even more powerful androids," Dr. Gero said slowly, utterly unconcerned by their attitude.

The two Cells stood still with cruel smiles, as though they had not even noticed Dr. Gero being surrounded.

Son Gohan sighed inwardly. Since Dr. Gero had dared say this in front of Android 16 and the others, he must have had something to rely on.

"But Son Goku and the others are exceptionally powerful, so I have no choice but to activate the second plan."

Dr. Gero's emotionless gaze swept over Android 17 and the others. "You were created by me in the first place. Sacrificing yourselves for my plan is an honor."

Android 17, with his handsome face and long black center-parted hair, suddenly realized. "A year ago, Android 13, Android 14, and Android 15 went out on a mission and never returned."

"At the same time, Future Cell became complete. I thought it was strange then. So the three of them had already been absorbed by Future Cell."

As soon as he said that, Android 16 and Android 18 widened their eyes as well. That explained everything.

Android 19 finally stopped hesitating and joined the encirclement of Dr. Gero, his round face filled with hatred.

"Hehehehe, Android 17 truly is clever." Dr. Gero praised him with a hint of mockery.

"That was a crucial experiment, and the results proved that my modifications were a success. Super Perfect Cell will be the beginning of my overthrow of the universe's technological supremacy!"

"I'll kill you!"

Android 18 shouted furiously, her chest heaving as energy crackled in her palm. She suddenly thrust her hand forward.

Dr. Gero remained unhurried. At some point, a remote control had appeared in his hand, and he lightly pressed its red button.

Android 18's entire body stiffened. She wanted to move, but her body would not obey, leaving her frozen in her attacking posture.

It was not just her. Android 16, Android 17, and Android 19 also realized they could not move.

"You were all created by me, yet you want to raise a hand against me? You overestimate yourselves." Dr. Gero grinned smugly.

Seeing Dr. Gero control Android 17 and the others, Son Gohan, Krillin, and the rest were about to step in to save them. After all, the enemy of their enemy was their friend.

Besides, without four androids, Cell's strength would decrease.

"None of you move!" Dr. Gero raised a hand to stop them and warned, "Otherwise, Cell will immediately use Instant Transmission to take us away."

"We androids have no ki. If we do not show ourselves voluntarily, you will never find us."

Hearing that, everyone stopped moving and watched Dr. Gero unwillingly.

"I really want to punch that old bastard hard in the face!" Even someone as honest as Tien Shinhan could not hold back.

"Damn Cell, he actually knows Instant Transmission," Son Gohan cursed under his breath.

In the original timeline, Cell had been killed alongside Son Goku when he self-destructed. After regenerating, he fused with Son Goku's remaining cells and only then mastered Instant Transmission.

Now, the Insect Spy Robot had followed the Z Fighters to Yardrat, allowing Cell to master Instant Transmission ahead of time.

Dr. Gero would not let Son Gohan and the others approach, but he did not make another move against Android 17 and the others either. Instead, he continued enthusiastically describing his great plan.

"After I finished modifying all the androids again, the Cell of this timeline was nearly ready to be born as well."

"So I asked Future Cell, what should we do with this Cell? Between the two of you, only one can become Super Perfect Cell."

"Once he is born, he will compete with you for the chance to devour the other androids."

At this point, Dr. Gero looked at Lightning Cell with a face full of admiration. Recalling the situation at the time, he said blissfully:

"Cell truly deserves to be called my most perfect creation. Whether in strength or temperament, he is flawless."

"Future Cell said that he did not need to devour every android himself. Let this Cell be born as well. That way, the two of us can serve you better, Doctor."

Son Gohan's heart sank, and a chill spread through his entire body.

He stared intently at Future Cell, trying to discern something from his eyes.

Future Cell sensed someone watching him. He lowered his head, meeting Son Gohan's gaze directly, then curled his lips into a mysterious and sinister smile.

Seeing that smile, Son Goku became even more certain of his suspicions. Things were definitely not that simple.

Given Future Cell's personality, he could not possibly go through all that trouble just to make a wedding dress for someone else. He had to be planning something else.

"Who would believe that?" Even the most innocent Chiaotzu spoke up to refute him. Dr. Gero was truly blind to what was right before him.

"Dr. Gero, you trust Future Cell that much? If he really evolves into Super Perfect Cell and then betrays you, will you still be able to stop him?"

Son Gohan felt it was necessary to wake him up. He hoped Dr. Gero truly had some means of controlling Future Cell.

In terms of evil, Dr. Gero was not even one ten-thousandth as evil as Future Cell.

"Are you really so eager to sow discord between us?" Dr. Gero was supremely confident, believing Son Gohan's words were nothing but nonsense.

"I am the most brilliant scientist. I created Cell, and no matter how strong he becomes, I will have a way to control him."

"I will be forever loyal to you!"

The present first-form Cell immediately declared his loyalty upon hearing Dr. Gero's words.

He shot Future Cell a disdainful glance. Clearly, the two Cells did not get along.

Future Cell gave Dr. Gero a slight bow. At this moment, he appeared incomparably loyal, humbling himself completely.

"I am willing to give up the other four androids and let the present Cell devour them."

When Future Cell lowered his head, only Son Gohan saw the vicious malice flash through his eyes.
