The Order Demon God did not answer Shichen at once. She straightened her appearance first, and only after confirming she had regained her usual dignified bearing did she speak:
"I passed Order on to that Haotian you mentioned."
Shichen nodded slightly. "Isn't that a good thing? Your Dao of Order will take effect in the Primordial World. Why do you look unhappy?"
The Order Demon God pressed her red lips together, frustration hidden in her eyes.
"Aren't you Time? See for yourself what sort of person you made me choose."
Shichen glanced at her in puzzlement and flicked a glimmer of light from his fingertip. A scene from the River of Time flowed before his eyes. A few breaths later, it faded.
He looked up at the Order Demon God's solemn face. Remembering what he had just seen of Haotian, he nearly burst out laughing.
"Heh... Hongjun actually gave him that system."
"It does clash with your image... a little."
The expression the Order Demon God had struggled to maintain nearly cracked. Remembering what Haotian had said right in front of her, she stamped her foot in anger.
"A little? Are you sure that little fellow can really establish order in the Primordial World one day?"
Shichen's smile faded, and he said seriously, "Yes. Once the Creation of Heaven begins, the broad course of events will be set. But the Chaos Demon Gods can still change it, so you must be careful."
The Order Demon God thought for a few breaths, then nodded. "I trust you."
After another brief pause, she asked, "That system inside him... can I erase it?"
Shichen shook his head, a smile touching his lips.
"I don't think anyone else would do as well as that little fellow. He's bringing resources into the Primordial World too,
