History

Creation and Early Development

The Primordial World was created when Pangu's Dao Body wielded the Pseudo-@@REF_ENTITY_13975968@@ Axe to split Chaos into heaven and earth. Shichen supported the undertaking by weaving the Law of Time into the newborn world's framework, diverting most of the backlash from creation and stabilizing the turbulent time and space. After ten Chaos Epochs, the Dao bodies of the Chaos Demon Gods and their respective laws entered the new world, completing its initial structure and preventing heaven and earth from merging again. 17

The newborn world is one ten-thousandth the size of Chaos, though its scale remains vast enough that a Primordial Unity cultivator would require a full Chaos Epoch to traverse it from east to west. It became the main world and simultaneously gave rise to countless independent parallel universes attached to it. 17

Pangu's dissipating Dao Body transformed into much of the world's natural order: its eyes became the sun and moon, its blood became rivers and seas, its bones became mountains, and its skin became fertile earth. The Pseudo-@@REF_ENTITY_13975968@@ Axe, Pseudo-Chaos Green Lotus, and Pseudo-Creation Jade Butterfly also disintegrated, producing numerous innate supreme treasures and spiritual treasures scattered throughout the world. 17

Pangu subsequently left twelve drops of essence blood in Mount Buzhou's Pangu Hall and divided the remaining Primordial Spirit of his Dao Body into three streams of clear qi. These acts eventually gave rise to the Twelve Ancestral Witches and the Three Pure Ones. Pangu and Shichen jointly named their creation the Primordial World. 17 34

After its birth, the Great Dao bestowed forty percent of its merit upon the Primordial World. Pangu and Shichen each transferred their own merit to the world, and most of the highest-ranked Demon Gods followed suit, enriching its spiritual energy and foundation. Before resting from the exertion of creating heaven and earth, Pangu entrusted the Primordial World to Shichen. 18

Early Calamities and Struggles for Control

The world's vast origin, fortune, and potential attracted the attention of numerous Chaos Demon Gods. Hongjun, Yang Mei, Yin-Yang, Five Elements, Luo Hou, and others sent Dao bodies or incarnations into the Primordial World to secure its fortune. Later, Fate and Karma attempted to replace the world's Dao imprint with their own laws, while Karma gathered an alliance of Demon Gods to assault it from beyond its boundary. 18 30 31 32

Yang Mei defended the world against this attempted takeover. He exchanged a substantial portion of his Space Origin for the Great Dao Prohibition Decree, raising a spatial barrier around the Primordial World and preventing Fate, Karma, and their allies from forcibly suppressing its Dao of Strength and Dao of Time. 31 32

The Fierce Beast Calamity was among the first major disasters to afflict the world. Shen Ni and the Fierce Beast Clan devastated the Far West Lands, slaughtering innumerable innate beings and threatening to conquer the entire realm. The Dragon, Phoenix, and Qilin Clans formed a temporary alliance to resist the beast tide, with Hongjun transporting their armies to the Far West Lands through the Pseudo-Creation Jade Disk. 20 21 23

After the Fierce Beast Calamity, the Innate Three Clans divided the world between themselves: the Dragon Clan controlled the Four Seas and scaled races, the Phoenix Clan ruled the feathered races from the south, and the Qilin Clan held the central lands and commanded the beast races. Their rivalry created the conditions for the Dragon-Han Calamity. 34 36

The Dao-Demon conflict further shook the Primordial World when Luo Hou led the Devil Race in an invasion from the west. Hongjun rallied the world's beings against the Devil Race, and the Dragon, Phoenix, and Qilin Clans again joined forces to defend their homeland. 38 39

Heavenly Dao and Internal Conflict

As the world's inhabitants increased, its Heavenly Dao gradually formed. The Immortal Dao was imprinted into the Primordial World during its creation, and Hongjun later gained the Heavenly Dao's recognition through the merit he earned in the Fierce Beast Calamity. 29

Shichen later merged his Dao Body with the Heavenly Dao, perfecting it and strengthening the operation of the world's laws. Heavenly Dao Shichen subsequently treated the deaths of living beings during major conflicts as a means of returning origin to heaven and earth, as their dispersed origins nourished the Primordial World and fed back into Chaos. 57 61

The Witch Clan's expansion, the conflict between the Dragon and Phoenix Clans, and the establishment of the Heavenly Court, Demon Court, and Immortal Court led to widespread disorder. Di Jun established the Demon Race and Heavenly Court in the name of preserving the order of heaven and earth, but the competing courts and the hostility between witches and demons intensified the world's conflicts. 61

The Primordial World's tribulations were not always allowed to proceed unchecked. During the Witch-Demon Calamity, Pangu descended in his true form, reprimanded the Twelve Ancestral Witches for their brutality, and forced the withdrawal of the tribulation despite Heavenly Dao Shichen's desire for the world to absorb more origin from the conflict. 97 98

Earthly Dao, Human Dao, and the Myriad Heavens

Nuwa created the Human Race from Nine Heavens Breathing Soil and Three Lights Divine Water, establishing a race that would later gather the fortune of the Human Dao. She vowed to protect humanity for one hundred thousand years after her creation of the race. 86

Houtu and Minghe later transformed the Sea of Blood into the Netherworld Underworld. The Six Paths of Reincarnation emerged there, the Book of Life and Death became its treasure of authority, and the Earthly Dao took shape. Minghe became the Fengdu Emperor and the first Sage of the Primordial World, while the Netherworld Underworld became the strongest force within the realm. 100

After several thousand yuanhui of Human Race development, Heavenly Dao Shichen proclaimed the rise of the Human Dao. The Human Race was tasked with establishing the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors to perfect the Human Dao and compensate for the Primordial World's deficiencies. The resulting contest for the Human Dao's fortune helped initiate the Myriad Realms Investiture Calamity. 124 125

The Primordial World later opened fully to the myriad heavens. The Chaos Dao Court removed the barrier between the Primordial World and Chaos, while the Cosmic Universe, Tianyuan Divine World, and False Primordial World were attached to it and their passages opened. Five additional great universes later appeared around the world, further consolidating its position as the center of connected realms. 106 115

During the Chaos War, its heavens were split by the battle's aftershocks. Chaos gales and the waters of the Heavenly River poured through the breach, devastating the land and killing countless living beings. Nuwa refined Five-Colored Divine Stones and repaired the heavens, while the Three Pure Ones guarded her, the Western Religion guided the dead, and Houtu opened Reincarnation for the victims. 137

The Primordial World is a realm inhabited by numerous living beings. By the events of Chapter 89, conflict is widespread: beings fight daily over fortuitous opportunities, resulting in countless deaths. 89

Duobao, despite admitting that he is not native to the world, swears that he has never intended to destroy the Primordial World or harm Tongtian. 89

Order in the Primordial World

Haotian regards order as necessary to preserve the stability of heaven and earth. He wishes for the Primordial World’s inhabitants to follow order and develop peacefully rather than remain consumed by conflict. 89

Order Demon God grants Haotian the Great Dao of Order after he expresses this wish. She describes the Dao as the true Dao of rules, capable of placing all things and living beings under a single command. 89

The Primordial World's earliest governing framework was the Immortal Dao, which was imprinted during its creation and became suited to the cultivation of its living beings. This framework developed into a complete Heavenly Dao after Shichen's Dao Body merged with it. 29 57

Di Jun's Ancient Heavenly Court was established to preserve the order of heaven and earth under the River Diagram and Luo Book. Later, Hongjun planned a separate Heavenly Court of Order, led by Haotian, to govern the order of the myriad realms alongside Di Jun's court and administer the 365 righteous divine posts required by the Investiture of the Gods Calamity. 61 125

The establishment of the Netherworld Underworld and the Six Paths of Reincarnation completed the Earthly Dao's foundational role in the world's order. The rise of the Human Dao further broadened this structure, placing the Human Race and the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors within the long-term governance of the world. 100 124

When the Chaos Dao Court opened the Primordial World's barrier, Shichen also imposed new rules governing travel and cultivation across the connected worlds. These included rewards for finding worlds and establishing Dao lineages, while the Chaos Demon Gods received formal Dao Court titles according to their standing. 106

• Pangu — Co-creator of the Primordial World, whose Dao Body formed much of its natural environment. He left his essence blood and Primordial Spirit at Mount Buzhou, entrusted the world to Shichen after its creation, and later intervened directly in its tribulation. 17 18 98
